Hrithik Roshan - The Generous Man With Golden Heart

Hrithik Roshan has sponsored the surgical operations of 10 children of the Seven Hills Medical Foundation (SHMF)’s pediatric programme in the Mumbai suburb of Andheri.
Dr Bhujang Pai, Head of Radiology SHMF, says, “We have started a Save A Heart programme as a public initiative. We do lots of free open-heart surgeries. We thought of getting someone who is very fond of kids and who kids are fond of as the face of our programme. I know Hrithik and his family. We are family friends. I asked his parents if we could get him involved in this programme in any way.”
Dr Pai continues, “Hrithik not only agreed to be the face of the SHMF scheme for children, but also donated Rs. 15 lakh for the heart operation and post-operative care of 10 children who registered in the scheme.”
Says the doc, “Lakhs of children are born in India with heart defects. Because of lack of proper infrastructure and financial assistance, most die before their first birthday. Nearly eight in every thousand children are born with a congenital heart defect.
Through this scheme, poor parents won’t have to run from pillar to post for their children’s medical treatment. We want to reach out to people in a big way and so Hrithik’s hoardings will be all over India.”
The heart surgery of each baby costs a lakh and a half rupees and Hrithik donated the amount immediately so these operations could take place as soon as possible.
“We have a scheme where if someone pays R 1.5 lakh for the heart surgery of a baby he can adopt the baby. The baby will send him a card on his birthday as he’s saved his/her life etc,” added the doc.

Akshay Kumar Escapes From A Crocodile Mouth

It was a dreadful day for Akshay Kumar, who was just about to be chewed down by a crocodile while performing a death-defying stunt for a cola giant.
Apparently, Bollywood action king Akshay Kumar narrowly escaped a horrific tragedy as he got into a scrape with crocodiles while shooting a cola advertisement in Malaysia.
Conforming to a daily, a source said, “Akshay loves all risky stunts from car chases to diving down waterfalls. Of course, most of this he does for his films. So when the cola brand he endorses wanted to shoot the ad in Malaysia, Akki suggested that he fight crocodiles and go white water rafting. The concept would be how Akshay fights crocs and dives down from his boat into the river to rescue his cola.”
The unit, escorted by the crocodile trainers, started the shoot early one morning in the thick jungles of Gopeng Perak. Akshay had to go white water rafting, jumping down from his raft into the river, dodging the ferocious crocodiles and swim to safety.
“When he jumped into the water the crocs were at a safe distance. However, something happened, and one of the reptiles lunged towards the actor,” said the source.
All Akki could see was its threatening jaw lunging towards him. “He froze for a split second. He has indulged in plenty of extreme-action stunts but fighting a crocodile is something he hasn`t done in real life. He turned around, grabbed the raft and quickly swung onto it and started rowing away as fast as he could till he reached a place of safety. His presence of mind saved him. Fortunately, they got some great shots of the actor with the crocs and he didn`t have to re-shoot. AK has fought sharks while shooting for Blue. There too, he had an accident and got injured. But he loves thrills and the cola he endorses is all about thrilling action and excitement,” added the source. Source

Payal Rohatgi Injured On The Sets Of Zor Ka Jhatka

The latest reality show hosted by Shahrukh Khan Zor Ka Jhatka concluded last week had many jhatkas. According to one of the contestants who spoke on condition of anonymity, there was more excitement off camera than on it with many contestants going completely berserk and ballistic.
Zor ka Jhatka contestant Payal Rohatgi got injured while recording for the reality show. After recording just a few episodes, Payal Rohatgi had to be sent back, reportedly owing to injuries.
Others from the non-entertainment field who participated included the CWG boxer Manoj Kumar, Vijender Singh’s boxer-brother Jai Bhagwan, wrestler Sonika, sprinter Alka Tomar, squash player Ravi Dixit and the youngest mountaineer to climb the Everest Krushna Patil.

The sizzling beauty Katrina Kaif is highly distraught with the latest media speculation that she has declared unaccounted income into crores when the Income Tax department officials conducted a raid at her residence. Now her Chartered Accountant, rubbishing all the reports, has come up with an official statement on behalf of the actress.
“A search was conducted by the Income Tax Dept at the residence of my client Ms Katrina Kaif recently. For Nikhil Advani, PATIALA HOUSE could well be the most important release of his four film career so far. Though he began on a positive note with KAL HO NA HO, his SALAAM-E-ISHQ saw mixed response coming his way. However what brought the film maker down was CHANDNI CHOWK TO CHINA, a movie with which both he as well as Akshay Kumar went ambitious but not with much success.
On its release in early 2009, the film failed at the box office. An action comedy, it was lambasted by the critics and many wondered if Nikhil would ever be able to wield the director’s baton again. However the director wasn’t required to lie low for long as he soon announced PATIALA HOUSE with Akshay Kumar, a news that surprised quite a few.
“Well, it should be my turn to surprise the audience now,” smiles the soft spoken film maker who had incidentally assisted on films like IS RAAT KI SUBAH NAHI (with Sudhir Mishra) before going totally mainstream in Karan Johar camp with KAL HO NA HO.
Well, one really hopes that Nikhil and Akshay do throw a pleasant surprise with PATIALA HOUSE. By the look of the promos, the film is looking interesting for sure. Salman debuted in “Maine Pyaar Kiya” in the year 1988 and Shah Rukh made his debut with “Deewana” in 1992. Ever since then they called each other ‘brothers’. And after more than a decade Salman says “SRK and I can never be friends”. To this King Khan added “Salman and I don’t talk, which is absolutely right”.
The two worked together in movies like “Karan Arjun”, “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai”, “Har Dil Jo Pyaar Karega”, and “Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam”.

Priyanka Chopra Is Completely Trapped By The Income Tax Department

Under Income Tax scanner, Priyanka Chopra seems to have some answering to do. The actress, who was left stunned by the recent Income Tax raids carried out in her place, is now being questioned for several properties that she owns in the city. As per reports, Priyanka owns nine flats in Mumbai.
The IT officers, who raided Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif residence, sealed 12 lockers and documents relating to their various properties in the city.
As per reports, Priyanka has bought five flats on the sixth floor of Raj Classic building at Yari Road, where she lives. She has combined three flats into one large apartment, which has almost all the modern amenities.
Officials also stumbled upon another apartment owned by her, which was also made by combining two separate flats in the same building. Besides this the lass also has a penthouse and three flats which have been rented out by the actress in recent months.
According to a senior official, a team is also verifying whether Kaif remitted money to her parents living in London.
They are also checking records to find out how much money was earned through guest appearances in stage shows and whether she declared the income and paid taxes.

 The raids have revealed that the actress has an unaccounted wealth of around Rs. 6 crore in the form of jewellery, property and business ventures.
However, the raids at Priyanka Chopra’s residence have to be extended by a day, as her mother Madhu Chopra, who handles her finances, was out of station.

Recently Suniel Shetty shared screen space with Sanjay Dutt in NO PROBLEM. Even before this comic affair, the duo has collaborated on number of films both in front and behind the camera. In an industry where the biggest of bonds break in a matter of months, Suniel Shetty reaffirms that his loyalties with Sanju baba are going to be intact.
“Sanju and I have been together for way too long for us to be any doubtful about how future would look. Salman Khan Was Protested In Jaipur

Our sources reveal from the Pink City of India, Jaipur, it has been established that Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s brush with the Bishnoi community continues. It was a fracas situation when people from the community staged violent demonstration against Salman Khan, who had come to the city to attend the Jaipur Marathon Race 2011.
News has it that the Bishnoi community, with whom Salman Khan has had a long standing discontent over the black buck case, took to protest the moment it was known that Salman Khan was to participate in the Jaipur marathon.
The activists from the community raised slogans against Salman Khan, showing their angst with the display of black flags at the actor’s presence at the race venue. The Bishnoi community activist also raised slogans against the ruling tourism minister Bina Kak who has been held responsible for backing Salman despite the actors’ heinous crime of being an endangered animal killer guilty.
Condemning Kak, the activists raised their voice for the minister’s resignation from the ruling government. As the Bishnoi community activists rummaged through the venue, police sprung into action and took 11 of the activists under custody.
The protest took an ugly turn when some people tried to dismantle the race management protesting vociferously against Salman Khan endorsing something which symbolizes the historical and architectural magnificence of the city. Source

Deepika Refuses To Work With Shahid Kapoor ?

Some time earlier Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor were rumored to pair up as Heer Ranjha for Sajid Nadiadwala but the film has been shelved now. The film was to be directed by Sabir Khan but now the film is no longer happening and the reason behind it is said that Deepika is not keen to do the film.
Shahid is now going to be part of another of Sajid’s film directed by Sabir Khan but Deepika will not be part of the venture. A friend of Nadiadwala revealed that Sabir is working on the script of the new film which is not Heer Ranjha. Why is it then that a section of media came to know about Deepika doing a film from Sabir?
The director earlier reported that the height difference between a hero and a heroine is not much of botheration and since Deepika and Shahid have not been paired together it would be an interesting on-screen coupling to see. But at the moment it seems that the fresh pairing is not happening the audience has to wait for quite a while to see these two together on-screen.
Right now Sabir is penning something new and Deepika is not going to romance or sizzle on-screen with Shahid in it. Kareena Kapoor has reportedly replaced Priyanka Chopra in the forth coming flick Dostana 2 where she is cast opposite Abhishek Bachchan. Priyanka who was earlier cast for the project has reportedly lost it out to Kareena Kapoor.
Kareena Kapoor had debuted with Bachchan junior in 2000 in JP Dutta’s ‘Refugee’, where she sashayed the role of a village belle.

John Is All Set To Play A Comedy Role In His Upcoming Flick

His last romantic comedy ‘Jhootha Hi Sahi’ satisfied only certain class of people. Soon the hot hunk of Bollywood will again feature in a light-hearted movie that will be a directorial debut of Kapil Sharma. And we feel that it looks bit appealing, for we can see him with a fresh lady in this one.
Here John Abraham will be paired up with the ‘Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi’ famed beauty Chitrangada Singh for the first time.
About the director, he is the son of astronaut Rakesh Sharma, who was the first Indian to travel into space. Kapil had worked as an assistant in films like ‘Drona’, ‘Being Cyrus’ and also the Hollywood movie ‘The Darjeeling Limited’.
Kapil claims his film more than just a rom-com and states that it’s an urban, hip and cool take on today’s trends and culture. On asking why he chose John, he said, “I think there can’t be anyone better than John who represents that bracket. He not only has international good looks, but is also a Mumbai boy.”
He also admires his leading actress Chitrangada and finds her very sophisticated and gorgeous, but equally in tune with her culture and values.
And Kapil believes John and Chitrangada together will make wonders on screen. “It’s an exciting combination to have these two actors in the same film. Both John and Chitrangada play characters that are extremely real and easy to identify with.

Shahrukh & Kareena To Star In ‘Angoor’

One of the funniest movies of all times, ‘Angoor’, will soon have a remake. The film that was originally made in 1982 by Gulzar is stated to be an iconic rib tickling comedy. And now it will have a remake with Shah Rukh Khan essaying the role originally played by Sanjeev Kumar and Kareena Kapoor filling in at Moushumi Chatterjee’s place. To be directed by Rohit Shetty, the film is set to go on floors by the end of this year.
As for Angoor, the film had Sanjeev Kumar playing a detective novel aficionado and Deven Verma, who pretends to be a bhaang lover. Both characters have their twin counterparts and all hell breaks loose when they finally encounter each other.
What precedes this encounter is a series of goofball moments. And adding to ruckus is Moushumi Chatterjee, whose intemperate bawling tendencies just add to the confusion.
Shetty after his ‘Golmaal’ series is now working on script for Angoor with scriptwriter Sajid-Farhad. The original was based on Shakespeare’s play ‘A Comedy of Errors’.
Confirming the news, a source said, “After he made Golmaal 3, everyone was wondering what Rohit Shetty’s next plans were. People were guessing if he would make a fourth sequel but the director surprised everyone by choosing to work on an Angoor remake. Ajay was in Filmistan with Emraan Hashmi and Madhur Bhandarkar to promote their next release Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji.

Shahid Kapoor Refused To Play A Role Opposite Priyanka Chopra In ‘7 Khoon Maaf’

When Priyanka Chopra has seven co-stars in her forthcoming film 7 Khoon Maaf, the question arises why isn’t Shahid Kapoor, who shares an amazing onscreen chemistry with her and is reportedly her offscreen love, one of them? Well because he refused, revealed filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj.
“Shahid refused to do the film. That time he was preparing for the role in his father’s film and for that he needed a particular get up, so he didn’t have time to get a new get up for this film,” Bhardwaj said.
7 Khoon Maaf is based on Ruskin Bond’s short story, Susanna’s Seven Husbands. The seven male leads in the thriller include Naseeruddin Shah as the oldest husband, John Abraham and Neil Nitin Mukesh, Irrfan Khan, Annu Kapoor, Naseeruddin Shah’s youngest son Vivaan Shah as the youngest husband and Russian actor Aleksandr Dyachenko.
The director also revealed that Priyanka was his original choice for the role.
“Priyanka was my original choice for the role. She is the finest actor of her generation right now. When I worked with her in Kaminey, I realised how under-utilised she is. She has so much talent in her. As a director I had so much trust on her that I felt that no one else can essay this role as brilliantly as she would do,” said Bhardwaj.
