No hot-blooded man needs an excuse to lust after Priyanka Chopra. But imagine romancing PC, and then getting paid for it! For Vivaan Shah, son of acting veterans Naseeruddin Shah and Ratna Pathak Shah, this was a great opportunity in more ways than one.
The 21-year-old will make his debut in the brilliant director Vishal Bhardwaj’s promising new film 7 Khoon Maaf.
Vivaan, who will sit for Bachelor of Arts degree examination in April, is not nervous. When Patcy N met up with him, he seemed confident about stepping into his new career, and leaving his academics behind. He tells us more about himself.
So you play the seventh husband in the film?
The seventh husband cannot be disclosed. But I will not deny that. There is a twist in the tale.
I play the servant and the film’s narrator. My character ages from 17 to 45. Ever since I’m a child, I’m infatuated by Priyanka but it’s never reciprocated because she’s much older. So when she gets married so many times, I get jealous. I hate all the husbands profusely. When I turn 45, there’s a twist in the tale, which leads to the seventh husband. Source

Ranbir & Katrina’s Intimacy In Air

Like most loved up couples, Ranbir and Katrina are also floating on air, quite literally! The pair was recently sighted cosying up to each other on an international flight. While there has always been a big question mark on the relationship status of these two B’Townies, their recent PDA (public display of affection) is going to make it hard for Ranbir and Kat to deny their involvement!
A prominent RJ has reported on her site that a friend of hers spotted the lovebirds holding hands and exchanging kisses in the first class of a Mumbai bound flight from Frankfurt. The fact that the flight was full of European business men who failed to recognise the stars apparently put Katrina at ease.
According to the eye witness, “Initially she (Katrina) kept looking around to see if there would be any familiar faces, but when she saw that wasn’t the case, she got comfortable in her seat and started talking to Ranbir. After the flight took off, they cosied up and RK was seen planting kisses on her cheek and she didn’t seem to mind at all.”
The two were also seen reading their way through a pile of scripts, even reading their parts aloud. Apparently Kat had joined her beau in Amsterdam where he was shooting for an ad, so that they could have some privacy away from the prying eyes of the local media. Source

King of romance, Shahrukh Khan has been maintaining supreme secrecy as far as his look is concerned in his upcoming film DON 2, the sequel to DON, however not anymore. An insider source has revealed SRK’s closely-guarded look in the film.
Bolywood baadshah, who’s making frequent trips to Malaysia, to shoot for the sequel, was recently spotted having dinner with Malacca Chief Minister in his new look.
Looks like, Shahrukh sheds his suave, oh-so sweet boy looks, which he carried in DON, for the sequel. Shahrukh’s newly acquired rugged and macho avatar adorned with a ponytail, tattoo et al gives that international appeal to his character in the film.

Hrithik Roshan At ‘Just Dance’ Reality Show

The latest actor to jump on the small screen is Hrithik Roshan. The actor with greek god look is on a mission to find the ultimate dancing champion from across the globe, and he’s assisted by the queens of choreography, Farah Khan and Vaibhavi Merchant.
At the recent launch of the reality show, a dapper looking Hrithik was flanked by the two taskmasters and he certainly had much to say about his ‘gurus’! Talking about Farah, he said, “Right from my very first film I have been guided and also abused lots of times. I’ve been through all those rigorous training sessions.”
And when asked about the ‘ainvayi ainvayi’ choreographer , he replied, “Vaibhavi had to love me a lot because I finally became so broken inside that she had to pamper me to get a smile on my face. I just couldn’t come up to the level that she wanted.”
For the perfectionist who grooved his way into people’s hearts, dancing is not about the style and technique. “For me, dancing is a form of expression. Whoever danced for the first time had an emotion inside him which he wanted to express through his body. So for me dancing is more than doing steps.”
Adds Hrithik significantly, “For me, Shammi Kapoor will always be the God of dance…because for him, dance was more than mere steps.” Source

Ajay Devgn Honoured With ‘Actor of The Year’ Trophy

Ruf and Tuf actor Ajay Devgn was awarded the actor of the year trophy at the Indian of the Year Awards 2010 held in New Delhi to honour India’s finest achievers.
Accepting the award for his film Raajneeti, the actor said, “Bollywood has its share of people both that play politics and those that don’t play any.
Its scary being a politician. Rajneeti was a script. Politicians don’t go around killing people as they did in the film,” Ajay was presented the award by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Source

Yana Gupta Hurts Her Nose On Jhalak Dikhla Jaa

Yana Gupta, the super model has hurt her nose while performing on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 4.

“Remember our domestic violence act? Did X-ray finally and my nose is fractured. Surgery on Thursday. I wonder how I managed to dance till the end,” the Babujee Zara Dheere Chalo girl posted on her microblogging site.

Karisma & Kareena Celebrated Their Dad’s Birthday

Kareena and Karisma Kapoor celebrated their dad Randhir’s birthday at a lounge bar in Bandra. Their mom Babita was missing but the rest of the Kapoor clan was in attendance. There were the Kapoor brothers Rishi and Rajiv with their wives, and Rima Jain with her husband Manoj. Even Ranbir Kapoor was part of this impromptu party (see pic alongside) organised by Rima for her older brother.
Kareena took special permission from Karan Johar, her producer, to take leave from the shooting of Short Term Shaadi to attend her dad’s birthday bash. “The venue Bungalow 9 was chosen as B-town celebrities don’t frequent it.
The Kapoors didn’t want to bump into anyone at their private do. Kareena was to shoot till midnight but when her aunt Rima called her, she requested director Shakun Batra to relieve her early and she joined the party. Bebo has an annual tradition. She takes her dad out for a birthday lunch every year.
Says an insider, “Randhir’s face lit up when he saw his two daughters and Ranbir  drop in to wish him.” There were no gifts for Dabboo (Randhir’s pet name) as it’s been a strict rule  followed by the Kapoor clan for years. He doesn’t like gifts on his janamdin, and has told everyone to respect his wishes. Even his children Kareena and Karisma stick to the no-gift policy. Source

Salman Khan has discovered a new obsession these days. According to reliable sources, Salman Khan has turned yogi since he is seen following yoga and talking about it to anyone who cares to listen.
Salman Khan, who always makes sure to listen to only himself, is listening to the benefits of this age old health formula. It is further known that apart for himself, Salman is also trying to convert his bothers; Arbaaz and Sohail to follow the yoga routine but has not been completely successful in persuading them so far.

Meet Shahrukh Khan By Spending $3,300

Mehjabeen Erum Alim, of Bangladesh, kept a patient vigil and spent a whopping 10,000 ringgit (about $3,300) over two days to meet Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan along with some other fans in Malacca.
She did realise her dream — but the actor only smiled, gave autographs, posed for photographs and left, blowing flying kisses. Mehjabeen was told that he does not speak before shooting to stay within the character he is playing.
Khan, who is on a month’s schedule to shoot a sequel to his earlier blockbuster “Don”, saw the news of Mehjabeen spending big money on her vigil in The Star.
“Fortunately, he spotted us just as he was about to get into the car and agreed to sign autographs,” Mehjabeen said, adding that she managed to draw his attention to the story in the daily about her wish to meet him. Khan autographed the news article for her.
“It is an indescribable feeling and I am so happy to have finally met him. I feel like I am in dreamland,” Mehjabeen said after meeting Khan Wednesday at a resort in Ayer Keroh town.
Khan met her and seven other fans at the resort just as he was about to enter his car to go to the film location for his latest movie “Don 2?.
Mehjabeen, 27, is happy, but not satisfied. She said she would still love to meet him again just to hear his voice.
“It was just a fleeting moment and he didn’t say a word but merely nodded and gestured to us as he rarely speaks before filming so as not to come out of the character he is playing,” Mehjabeen, pursuing her masters in business administration in Kuala Lumpur, said.
Besides taking home memories of the meeting with Khan, she said she was glad to have made new friends who shared a similar passion for the Bollywood heartthrob.
Immensely popular in Malaysia, Khan was conferred the title of Datuk, akin to knighthood, by the Sultan of Malacca in 2009. Source

Shahid Kapoor In Mausam - First Look

It has been predicted that 2011 will undoubtedly be the year for sequels in Indian cinema. However, one such film which won’t be a second or third installment is Pankaj Kapur’s Mausam. Starring his son Shahid Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor, the movie will see Shahid play the role of a pilot which, if rumours are to be believed, has a likeness with Tom Cruise’s character in Top Gun.
With the tag-line “A timeless love story” and recently revealed first looks of a unique nature, the film is said to be one of the most romantic stories of recent times. The posters give a regal feel and fans can be forgiven if reminded of a look which draws similarities to 1942 - A Love Story. The two posters that Shahid tweeted on Valentine’s Day as the “Season of love” are cleverly designed in warm and cold colours, in keeping with the “Mausam” theme. The eternal element is brought in only when looking at both posters at once where it is noticeable that one attempts to encompass a love story with the innocence of yesteryear whereas the other depicts a contemporary pose between the two protagonists.
Mausam is already creating waves of expectations for fans and industry folk with the freshness that comes along with it. The movie will see Shahid in a role very different to any other he has portrayed before. The actor was recently reported to have to fly an F-16 fighter jet for his role and was honoured to do so. A source close to the event revealed, “Shahid couldn’t drink any liquid 4 hours before flight n couldn’t eat anything 16 hours before, except for two chocolate bars before flying”.
The movie will also give birth to a fresh new jodi in Bollywood. Although at first glance, Shahid and Sonam may seem like an unlikely pair, their coming together will be interesting to say the least. It has been said that the two shared a good rapport whilst shooting and their tweets while in filming in Scotland reflect just that. Stories were rife about Sonam’s refusal to kiss the chocolate boy Shahid on-screen but on the whole, it seems the duo will set the screen on fire in a sweet and romantic sense.
Pankaj Kapur has been working hard both behind the scenes and in front of the camera in what will be his debut as a writer and director. Kapur will also share screen space with his beloved son for the first time. Daddy dearest has been heard raving about his son’s performance in the film in what he believes will be a surprise package. His own appearance in the film is said to be of the fleeting kind and the reason for this is his decision to channel his energies and sensibilities more towards the making of the film as opposed to performing in it.
