Akshay Kumar To Star In The Sequel Of ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbai’

There is nothing to be shocked about. Speculations are rife that Khiladi Kumar Akshay has been considered for the sequel of ‘Once Upon time in Mumbaai’. If the Stunt King gives his nod, then he would be playing Emraan Hashmi’s role.
Incidentally, Akshay was earlier said to have been approached by the production house; for producer Ekta Kapoor was keen to have him for the sequel. However they had problem when he demanded a hefty fee of 27 crores.
Latest buzz is that Akki has now revised his price, as he is willing to rebuild his market’s image after giving string of flops (Khatta Meetha, Action Replayy, Tees Maar Khan).
Stay tuned for the final verdict from the production house. Source

Priyanka Chopra’s Intimacy With Her 7 Husbands

Priyanka Chopra is one such actor, who can befit any role or carry off any given character with ease. And it well proves with her upcoming film 7 KHOON MAAF, where she essays the role of a lady who has 7 husbands. However, what is drawing everyone’s attention is how Priyanka managed to do intimate scenes with numerous men at the same time or how was that equation for her.
Nevertheless, Priyanka is pretty cool about it and has her point to prove. ‘First of all you are talking about marriages and I don’t know any marriage without intimacy.
Above that if you’re going to show love and pain it comes along with lot of other emotions. It’s never an isolated emotion with only hatred or love or anger or intimacy being there.
So when it comes to enacting any scene, I am an actor and I am doing my job. I am playing the character to as much of my comfort as I could. I made myself comfortable with everybody.’ Source

Breaking News - Salman & Shahrukh Are Heading Towards Friendship

Here’s some good news for all the Salman-Shah Rukh fans. SRK and Salman ‘Dabangg’ Khan, who have made headlines by constantly taking digs at each other, have now decided to bury the hatchet and make amends. If eye witnesses are to be believed, SRK greeted Salman’s brother Arbaaz and his wife Malaika Arora Khan by giving them a warm hug at the 56th Filmfare Awards, held last week.
Moreover, to strengthen their new bond, King Khan chatted with the couple for long. Even Arbaaz did not leave any stone unturned to celebrate his renewed friendship with the ‘My Name Is Khan’ star. He cheered when SRK was performing along with Madhuri Dixit at the event.
Reportedly, Shah Rukh’s wife Gauri had interacted at length with Salman at Sohail’s birthday party held recently. This goes to show that the two Khan families of Bollywood have now decided to end the cold war.
And now that the two biggies have turned friends, will the audiences get to see them share screen space together? Source

Salman Khan Is Favouring Sonakshi Sinha & Her Family

First it began with Sonakshi Sinha bagging the coveted female lead in Dabangg, and now she is supposedly in two films opposite Salman Khan, including the remake of the Telugu film Kick and Arbaaz Khan’s home production 60 Seconds.
But Salman’s love for the Sinha’s extends from daughter to father, as everyone is aware of Salman’s immense respect for Shatrughan. Sources say Salman is extremely fond of the Sinha family. He’s been recommending them to everyone he meets. When it came to casting someone in a father role in Salman’s new film, Sallu suggested Shotgun’s name to producer Atul Agnihotri. They thought he would suit the role really well. The normally choosy Sinha has also agreed to be a part of the
film.
This is the first time we will see Sallu bhai and Shotgun Sinha on screen together, and Shatrughan next after the Rakta Charitra films. Source

Is Shahrukh Copying Javed Jaffrey ?

Zor Ka Jhatka kick starts with a thematic title track, reminiscent of Thums Up (Taste the thunder), a popular beverage, jingle followed by SRK making an expected superstar entry amidst neon green laser lights and some filmi dialoguebaazi,  ‘Kisi ke paas Katrina, kisi ke paas Kareena hai. Mere paas Khabreena hai.’ He means co-host Saumya Tandon who spends most of her screen time on field where the action is, namely Argentina.
If you’ve caught a glimpse of Takeshi’s Castle on Pogo, bolstered with a rocking commentary in Javed Jaffrey’s booming baritone, you know how it goes — narrow ramps, dizzy spinners, tricky trampolines, icky mud pools and numerous water bodies to cross and combat in varying capacities to claim top spot.
Zor Ka Jhatka works along the same lines with SRK lending a starry hand. Only he’s not as sympathetic as before. The new format requires him to mock, tease and ridicule every time a contestant bobs his/her head or trips clumsily into the pool.
SRK starts off a tad stiff, trying too hard and hamming his lines but loosens up as the show progresses. Since his job description demands passing taunting remarks at the bumbling contestant in jest, it’s almost like a dress rehearsal of an awards function for the actor who’s done a great deal of this nature along with Saif Ali Khan.
Apart from name-calling, there’s an obvious effort to make naughty jokes that range from coarse ‘Sab ke ‘balls’ ki baat nahi arre arre sabke ‘bas’ ki baat nahi’ or ‘Ande toot gaye’ (after a contestant bangs his sensitive area into a trampoline) to pedestrian ‘GPL yaane Grand Pichwada Laat’ or ‘Mujhe personally gandi ladkiyan bahut achi lagti hain.’ Source

Aishwarya Rai Features On The Cover Page Of Vogue Magazine

The mesmerizing Aishwarya Rai Bachchan features on the cover page of February’s Vogue India. Ash sports a feathered look and is styled by Anaita Shroff Adajania.
The issue has 10 men who know Aishwarya from close quarters speak about her and what she means to them. Right from her husband Abhishek Bachchan to leading fashion designer Manish Malhotra to leading director Karan Johar to ace make-up artist Mickey Contractor, they all talk about their memorable interactions with the former Miss World.
Abhishek Bachchan on the first time he met Aishwarya- “The first time I met Aishwarya was in August 1997. I was on a recce for my father’s film MRITYUDATA, in Switzerland and she was shooting her first film, AUR PYAR HO GAYA, with my dear friend Bobby Deol. I remember one evening Bobby invited me over to his hotel for dinner and Aishwarya and the rest of the unit were there. That was the first time I actually met her, although I had obviously seen her before, since she was Miss World and all that. I don’t remember the moment when I knew she was the one, actually which is weird, but it always just felt right. If you ask her, she will tell you the same thing- that the minute we came together, we both knew that this was something for keeps. So, there wasn’t just this ‘one’ defining moment, it always felt perfect!”
Mickey Contractor on Aishwarya’s very first day as a model- ” When I first met Aishwarya on the shoot of a talcum powder commercial, she was shocked by my language (I used to abuse a lot). She kept smiling on set. She told me later that she wondered what kind of weirdo I was. I then worked with her on her first film AUR PYAAR HO GAYA and on several Ad campaigns thereafter. She carries of every look I create for her. She is daring, adaptable and confident of the way she looks. Over time, the only change in her face is that she is leaner and more mature now and she looks very international. She is a natural beauty. When God was distributing good looks, the rest of us must been in the loo, because she got it all.”
Ashutosh Gowariker on how Aishwarya became his JODHAA- “When I finished the draft of my epic romance, I sent Aishwarya a single line SMS politely asking, ‘Will you be my JODHAA?’ Promptly came the reply, ‘YES!’ and that is how our association began. Today she is one of my closest friends. The character of JODHAA demanded a fiery yet graceful personality, and Aishwarya achieved this balance beautifully. The scene before the intermission where she’s angry with Akbar for accusing her of deceit is tremendous because she conveys vulnerability with angst, using her eyes to emote. This was one of the most memorable moments in the film.” Source

Kangna Ranaut Visits Tirupati Balaji Temple For Her Upcoming Film

Tirupati Balaji temple is indeed lucky for the bollywood stars. Kangna Ranaut was a rare exception to that rule (to her defense, she has been meaning to visit for six years now)… until last week. She was there to seek blessings for her next, Tanu Weds Manu.
She says, “I went to Tirupati last week with my brother and sister, for the first time since coming to Mumbai. We go to Vaishno Devi more often.
But when I came to Mumbai, people kept telling me to visit the Tirupati Balaji temple. I wanted to, for many years now, but work commitments kept coming in the way.
I was determined to go this time around. The trip was hectic and stressful but worth it. I loved my experience there. He (Balaji) is so powerful.”
Kangs was keen on divine intervention for her film Tanu Weds Manu. “It’s a film that is very special to me.
I had a close brush with death and almost lost my leg while shooting for the film so I have literally given my blood, sweat and tears for it. It’s a film that’s like my special child.
I had gone to seek blessings for the film at Tirupati
About parallels with her character in TWM, she says, “I feel I am Tanu in many ways. I too come from a small town like her, am rebellious and suffer a cultural conflict.
I feel this is my best work so far and a far cry from the traumatised characters I have played in my earlier films.” Source

Priyanka Chopra’s Elderly Image In ‘7 Khoon Maaf’

‘Saat Khoon Maaf’ is a Vishal Bhardwaj film in which, Priyanka Chopra essays various characters, ranging from a young twenty something girl to a sixty-years old lady. Buzz has it that Hollywood make-up artists diligently worked on Priyanka’s character Suzanna (a sixty-five year old lady), which was modelled on her mother and grandmother’s pictures.
Apparently, Priyanka considers ‘Saat Khoon Maaf’ as her toughest film. Talking to a daily about the film, the actress quipped, “It has been the most challenging part any actor could play. Playing Suzanna was tough for someone like me, who is still in her 20s. During most bits of shooting, I relied completely on Vishal sir, because I had no clue how I was going to take my character forward.”
When enquired about her middle-aged character in the film, Priyanka said, “It was difficult to imagine myself as a 50 year-old woman. How does someone that old walk, talk? I decided to fashion my character on my mother. Not that she is a killer!”
Bhardwaj’s ‘Saat Khoon Maaf’ is based on Ruskin Bond’s ‘Susanna’s Seven’ story, where a femme fatale kills her seven husbands.
Elaborating about Suzanna’s portrayal, Priyanka said, “When we did our research, we learnt that Indian women don`t age that fast. The make-up artists arrived from Drag Studio, the firm that worked on ‘Benjamin Button’ and ‘Lord of the Rings’. The artists took snaps of my mom, bua, and my grandmom to see how women in my family have aged. And they designed my look accordingly.” Source

There Is Someone Who Dreams Of Working With Hrithik & Madhuri

“I have always been very fond of Madhuri. I love almost all of her songs and her dance is incomparable. Today`s actresses don`t come close to her dance and expressions. She is so flexible, so emotive - for me, she is completely like lady Michael Jackson,” Remo told reporters.
Just as he picked up the art of dancing by watching Jackson`s videos, Remo also tried to emulate Madhuri`s filmy steps.
“Once, very long time back, I had to train one girl for a competition…that time I learnt all of Madhuri`s steps in `Ek do teen` to teach the girl. Madhuri was fabulous in it. But my favourite song featuring her is `Humko aajkal hai` from the film `Sailaab`,” he said.
Remo vied for many years to meet Madhuri - in studios, at film shootings and screenings, but his big chance came when he was asked to share the stage with her as the judge of Sony TV`s “Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 4?.
“I was overjoyed on meeting Madhuri. She has been my favourite all through,” said the choreographer, who feels Prabhu Deva and Hrithik Roshan are the only two Indian male stars, who can dance like MJ.
Now the hip-hop specialist has a wish to make Madhuri and Hrithik dance to his tunes.
“I feel Hrithik will do complete justice to my style of dancing. There aren`t too many actors who can dance well…he is the best among the current lot,” he said. Source

Emraan Hashmi Is Flying High On His Film’s Success

After making a career out of playing a bad boy in majority of his films, Emraan Hashmi is relieved that now he also has a comic success up his sleeves. His DIL TOH BACCHA HAI JI has shown an escalation at the box office after taking a decent start and is pretty much in a comfort zone now with weekend collections expected to be around the 15 crores mark.
“Yes, this was my first out and out comedy and I am glad it has turned out to be a positive outing”, says Emraan who had to convince himself before coming on board for this Madhur Bhandarkar directed film.
He had all the right reasons to be apprehensive though. After all, his earlier attempt at comedy was a disaster with JAWAANI DEEWANI resulting in quite a few detractors pouncing on him due to film’s ‘below the belt’ humour.
“Technically, I still don’t consider that film as a comedy”, says Emraan with a straight face, “JAWAANI DEEWANI went into a completely weird space and the slapstick humour there didn’t work at all. I knew there and then that if I had to attempt a comedy, it had to be situational and funny.”
No wonder, today he is smiling the most with his conviction in DTBHJ coming true. “Yeah, this experience was far better”, he says with a broad smile, “A funny situational comedy like this is anytime welcome.”
Well, seems like here is one actor who may just about change tracks now! Source

Abhishek Bachchan Is Indeed A Hot Property

Abhishek Bachchan has at least half a dozen films (Game, Dum Maro Dum, Bol Bachchan, Players, Department etc.), lined up for release in next two years with his date diary being totally booked. Now for an actor who hasn’t enjoyed the best year of his career in 2010 (with ‘Raavan’ and ‘Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Se’), one would have expected something on the contrary.
“In a way this also reflects the shortage of known names, let alone saleable ones, that we have in Bollywood today”, rues a trade expert, “How many films can you expect the four Khans (Aamir, Salman, Shah Rukh, Saif), Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn or Hrithik Roshan to do? We have only these seven names if you have to think of an actor with a mature personality. Ranbir Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor and Imran Khan are more suited for younger roles.”
“This is the reason why one continues to remember Abhishek’s solo hits like ‘Guru’ and ‘Bunty Aur Babli’”, a senior film maker comments on condition of anonymity, “Ok, so these films may seem to have arrived centuries ago but the fact remains that Abhishek has proved himself at the least. The Bachchan tag also means that he would ensure good product visibility at the least. In that sense, the makers would save some time, money and energy in hard selling their film which would otherwise not be the case if they take someone else who is either lower down the order or a relatively new face.”
Well, this is indeed a point to ponder over. What do you think? Source

Was Priyanka Trying To Provoke Kareena ?

Last Friday, Kareena Kapoor drove down from Pune to Mumbai to shoot for her televised act for an award function. What should’ve ended in a matter of hours took forever thanks to Priyanka Chopra.

Reveals a source present at the awards, “Kareena landed at Yash Raj Studios around midnight she found the stage occupied by Priyanka.
She waited patiently for a few minutes. On spotting her, PC came down from the stage and told Bebo that she couldn’t give up the stage till 1 am (though the latter had been assigned the stage at 12 am).”
Ms Chopra continued to rehearse till 4 am, at which time, the exhausted Kapoor girl decided to go home. The following morning, Bebo asked her manager Zahid to cancel her shooting (with Salman Khan for Bodyguard) for Saturday in Pune and then returned to the studio to finish her song. Source

Ranbir Kapoor Was Made A Laughing Point By Ajay Devgn

This new year has indeed transformed Ajay Devgn from a reticent, no-nonsense star to a chilled-out humorous guy. It seems Ajay all of a sudden loves his newfound witty side.
After taking pot-shots at Kareena and Saif, Ajay made fun of Bollywood’s blue-eyed boy Ranbir Kapoor and his good old friend Salman Khan in Karan Johar’s ‘Koffee with Karan’.
Confirming the reports to a daily, a source from the channel said, “Normally known to be reserved, Ajay appeared to have cast aside all his inhibitions on this show. Initially Devgn said that he didn`t want to come on Koffee because he was scared that Karan Johar would ask him controversial questions. But, Ajay said quite a lot as he got into the flow of the conversation.”
“It`s become quite fashionable to pull down Ranbir Kapoor on KWK these days. Deepika Padukone and Sonam Kapoor did it earlier and now even Ajay did not spare Ranbir. In the rapid-fire section, Karan asked Ajay what he was most likely to find in Ranbir Kapoor`s bedroom. Ajay said with a straight face, ‘I don`t know what I will find, who I will find and how many I will find!’ referring to Ranbir`s so-called many girlfriends. Even Karan was stunned with Ajay`s frankness and for a second didn`t know where to look,” said the source.
Apparently, Ajay even joked about his old friend Salman Khan. The source continued, “When KJo asked Ajay what he expected to find in Salman`s bedroom, Ajay replied blandly, “I am likely to find `dumb-bells` in Salman`s bedroom.` Though Karan burst out laughing at that, he was in splits when Ajay was asked what would be the best title for Salman`s biography. Ajay replied promptly, “Trying to be human!”
Surprisingly, Karan was quite taken aback by Ajay`s new avatar as the source added, “Karan has known Ajay only as his close friend Kajol`s husband.
