Salman Khan’s Dabangg Sequel Is On A Roll

After an acrimonious fallout, Salman Khan and Abhinav Kashyap have patched up for good. The actor-director duo of 2010’s biggest hit ‘Dabangg’ had fallen apart after Abhinav quoted an outrageous fee to direct his next film.
However, after being snubbed by top producers for his astounding demands, Abhinav has made his peace with the Khan brothers and is now busy laying down detailed plans to direct a sequel to ‘Dabangg’.
Confirming the news of fallout, a source told a daily, “Abhinav is a good director, but the success of the film may have gone to his head. However, the fallout is a thing of the past and it will only be fitting if Abhinav directs the sequel.”
According to reports, Kashyap peeved a lot of producers by making astonishing demands. “He demanded more than Rs 10 crore from Eros International while negotiating for a film which did not materialise for obvious reasons. Kashyap next had a meeting with PVR Pictures. There too he demanded something between Rs 15 and 18 crore”, adds the source.
“When Salman learnt about Kashyap`s pricey ways, he responded with putting him off his radar,” says the source.
Nevertheless, Abhinav has now cleared the air with Salman. “We have Kashyap`s dates in place, which were finalised only last week. Both Salman and Arbaaz love Abhinav. Let`s not get into what went wrong, but look forward to a killer sequel,” adds the source. Source

Tisca Chopra Is Getting Great Dating Proposals

Dil Toh… is doing well and Tisca’s performance is being widely appreciated. Sharing her excitement, she says, “I am slightly surprised because I was not expecting such a huge response for my oomph factor.” And what kind of compliments is she getting? “In TZP everybody felt sympathetic towards me, but this time I have received some amazing reactions.
My account on social networking site has crashed with comments, especially from men asking me out for dates. In fact, my husband Sanjay hugged Madhur after watching the film. He told him - ‘I haven’t seen my wife like this before, and she has grown up as an actor.’”
‘Madhur believed in me’
It’s a dream come true for any actor to work with a filmmaker like Madhur Bhandarkar, and Tisca is no different. She says, “It’s difficult for someone to break the image that Aamir Khan had created, and only a gutsy director like Madhur could see the potential in me to do Anushka Narang.” The movie has some real hot scenes with co-star Emraan Hashmi.
Was she a bit sceptical about working with the ’serial kisser’? “Not at all! Emraan’s so well-behaved and a sweet person. He makes you feel very comfortable before the shot and I wouldn’t mind working with him again,” says she. Source

Salman Khan’s War With Arbaaz Khan

Going against Salman’s wishes is not an idea worth pursuing. The same lessons are being learnt by none other than Salman Khan’s younger brother Arbaaz Khan. According to sources, Salman is miffed with Arbaaz for trying to broker peace between him and SRK. The issue has reached a point where Sallu has told Arbaaz in no uncertain terms to avoid playing such a role.
In the past Arbaaz has been friendly with SRK despite the fact that SRK and Sallu’s chemistry is going through its coldest phase. But, now Salman is keeping a close watch on any attempts that might end his arch rivalry. He is no mood to let go so soon.
Our sources further add, “The fact that Salman does not forgive his enemies has become one of his brand features. It is very difficult for him to go against the same since it is something that defines him. His fresh diktat to Arbaaz has to be seen in that light. Look at what he did to Vivek Oberoi. He is trying to repeat it in case of his cold bond with SRK.”
While Bollywood and its brawls would not stop from taking place, but this one is the baap of all as it involves two biggest stars who happen to be arch rivals. Source

Soha Ali Khan Is Ready To Settle Down In Life

We’re so happy to be reporting this particular story! While her brother has always been open about his rock steady relationship with Kareena, Soha’s personal life and her equation with Kunal Khemu was shrouded in mystery for the longest time ever… until sometime back that is. In a recent tabloid quote, the petite actress reveals that she’ll be ready to walk down the aisle “in a couple of years.”
Soha, who has been dating the ‘Kalyug’ actor for the past few years says, “I am in a comfortable space. We are both independent with our careers going well. We have met each other’s parents and have their approval. I think I’ll be ready to settle down in a couple of years.”
What is of immediate priority for Soha is a crash course in cooking! The ‘Khan’daani actress wants to whip up special treats for her beau who thoroughly relishes his ‘khana’. She says, “Kunal loves good food, and I know to cook just a couple of dishes. I can make stir fried chicken, which I think he likes, but I have made a resolution to learn to cook more dishes, especially ‘Rogan Josh’ and ‘Kashmiri dum aloo.”
All that’s well and good, but what about ‘Chhote Nawab’, who’d clearly asserted that as the elder sibling, he would get hitched first? Sister dearest states, “That was just a tongue in cheek answer. Besides, if he takes 10 more years to get married, do you think I’m going to wait for that long?” Source

Shahid Kapoor To Turn Director - Takes Inspiration From Dad

After watching his father, Pankaj Kapoor’s tranquil style of direction during the making of ‘Mausam’, Bollywood chocolate boy Shahid Kapoor has decided to don the director’s cap.
Talking to a daily on Shahid’s newfound passion, a source said, “Shahid was hands-on from the start of the project. And by `start` I don`t mean the day shooting began. ‘Mausam’ was Shahid`s pet project from the time his father wrote it. It was known that Shahid would play the lead, and participate actively in all the behind-the-scenes activities, including casting.”
Apparently, the decision to cast Sonam Kapoor was very much Shahid`s own decision as the source continued, “Since it`s a love story, there are only two principal characters in ‘Mausam’. It was very important to cast the right face and personality. Various names including Priyanka Chopra, Sonakshi Sinha and Deepika Padukone were considered. Both, Pankaj and Shahid zeroed in on Sonam. The role required a Kashmiri girl, and they felt Sonam looked the part. She should have a dreamy look on screen.” the source said.
Buzz has it that Shahid has learnt the art of surrendering himself to the director and this is why he will not cast himself as actor in the film he plans to directs. “While Ranbir Kapoor is willing to cast himself in his directorial debut, Shahid won`t. When he directs a film next year, it will feature another actor,” added the source.
When enquired the actor, Shahid said, “Working with my dad has been a very different experience. He`s a very sorted director. That`s the way I want to be. To surrender to the director and trust him blindly is a great feeling. I want to experience it first-hand. From now on, when I am acting, I`ll surrender to the director`s vision. It takes away from the pressure of being an actor. It was humbling working with dad.” Source

Hrithik Roshan As A Judge On A Dance Reality Show

Only a few weeks after unveiling his waxwork in London’s Madame Tussauds, Hrithik Roshan’s high is set to continue. As we reported he is set to start working on the remake of Agneepath in which he will be playing the character of Vijay Dinanath Chauhan which was played by Amitabh Bachchan in the original. Also in the pipeline to release is Zoya Akhtar’s Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. However, the exciting news coming in at the moment is that Roshan is getting ready to make his TV debut as a judge on a forthcoming dance reality show, Just Dance, on Star Plus.
It seems Hrithik is proving on the sets of Just Dance that his time-keeping, determination and hard work is unparalleled. Despite being in pain and on painkillers due to a muscle tear, the actor shot for the show at a 17-hour stretch, starting shooting at 9am on Monday until 2am on Tuesday morning. A source from the sets in Malad revealed that Roshan was extremely mindful of the shoot not being cancelled as this would have amounted in significant financial ruin for the producers, “He didn’t let us cancel the shoot though we offered to do that because we were concerned about his health.”
The first promos of Just Dance are due to be released within the next week and fans should expect the show to air sometime this year. It is also rumoured that Star Plus were extra keen on having the actor on-board and it is thought they offered Roshan the sum of 2 Crore per episode, with 56 episodes in total. If this speculation is true, this will earn the superstar up to 112 Crore - making him the highest paid Hindi cinema export to TV. Source
