Anushka Sharma Wears An Engagement Ring?

The Badmaash Company leading lady Anushka Sharma definitely seems to be giving away vibes of being engaged. The preety lady was freshly spotted at a Juhu multiplex, where she turned up to catch a movie with a few friends and family. While she was dressed casually in a white tee, black denims and striped chappals, a couple of accessories caught everyone’s attention. The first was a huge giraffe pendant that, of course, can be termed as a whacky style statement.
What got everyone around whispering was the sparkling little stone on the ring finger on her left hand. Speculations instantaneously started doing the rounds if Anushka has secretly had an engagement, and also over who had given her the expensive diamond studded ring.”The buzz that Anushka has secretly got engaged gained ground because she was wearing the ring on the specific finger that signifies engagement. The stone also caught attention because it seemed out if place with her otherwise casual dress,” told a close source present at the venue.
In the meantime Anushka’s blowhot, blow-cold relationship with her Band Baaja Baaraat co- star Ranveer Singh has once more come into focus after the ring episode, giving rise conjectures if Ranveer is the man. Yash Chopra To Direct Katrina, Shahrukh & Anushka In His Next Flick

Yash Chopra is back to his directorial shoes. As Yashji put it earlier, “Everyone knows that when I make a movie, Shahrukh will be involved with it. He is like family to YRF and I have always regarded him as one of my own.”
However, after days of media conjecturing, YRF confirms the two ladies, who will also be a part of this project - one is Katrina Kaif, who will be playing a role opposite Shahrukh for the very first time, and other Anushka Sharma, who was launched in RAB NE BANA DI JODI, alongside Shahrukh.
Orchestrated by Yash Chopra, this untitled movie will mark the coming together yet again of the award winning duo of the music maestro A. R. Rahman and the poet & lyricist, Gulzar.
The film is scheduled for a Diwali 2012 release, the festive time when Yash Chopra movies over the years have lit up homes worldwide. Source

Why Am I Not Popular Enough ? Asks Anushka Sharma

Anushka Sharma has said she is glad she is known for her talent but has questioned why she gets less hype than other Bollywood actresses. Speaking to the Mumbai Mirror the actress said she does not know why Deepika Padukone and Sonam Kapoor were more famous than her.
“I don’t know. You tell me. Having given three hits back-to-back in three years I wonder why there is not as much hype about me as them,” she said.
Sharma added that she thinks the other leading ladies are less famous for their films than they are for their off-screen activities.
“I am glad that I am known for my talent and not for my clothes or controversies,” she told the paper.
Sharma made her Bollywood debut alongside Shah Rukh Khan in 2008 with Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, for which she was nominated for a Filmfare award. Source

Anushka Sharma Completes Her Hat-Trick Of Success With Yash Raj Banner

First RAB NE BANA DI JODI, then BADMAASH COMPANY and now BAND BAAJA BAARAAT. Yes, you are absolutely on dot, these are lead actress Anushka Sharma’s hat trick of successes for India’s premier production venture Yash Raj Films.
Although Anushka has been refuting the news of a three film contract with Yash Raj and she cites Nikhil Advani’s PATIALA HOUSE (which she claims to have signed even before BAND BAAJA BAARAAT) to substantiate her point, but as things stand today Anushka has indeed completed her three films with Yash Raj and that too very successfully.
All her above mentioned films will go down as profitable ventures for Yash Raj Films obviously with the blockbuster RAB NE BANA DI JODI being the most successful of them all, thanks to King Khan. Though Anushka was not credited much with the success of RAB NE…, despite a brilliant all round performance that too opposite SRK, yet there is no doubt that it’s incredible success did help her become an instant hit with the mass and class (very much like what OSO did for Deepika and DABANGG has done for Sonakshi). This translated into a wonderful second innings via BADMAASH COMPANY and then came BAND BAAJA BAARAAT1, where Anushka was one of the only few known faces.
As we had been saying time and again, BAND BAAJA BAARAAT has indeed turned out to be the dark horse, and though it did open slow but it’s positive word-of-mouth worked beautifully and the film has shown one of the best trending of 2010, as it has been good and steady even in its second week which means that the film indeed would turn out to be a successful venture for Yash Raj. The final outcome though is still awaited but all credit to Anushka for pulling this off and we are sure that after this Yash Raj (and especially Aditya who showed so much faith in her) would want her do more films for them, as was Anushka’s wish (we had informed our readers that Anuskha is ready to do ten more films for Aditya!)

Anushka Sharma’s Role In Band Baaja Baraat

She played a simple girl next door in RAB NE BANA DI JODI. Then she got into an altogether different zone by becoming Ms. Smart in BADMAASH COMPANY. Now in her upcoming release BAND BAAJA BAARAAT, she has completely transformed her personality by turning into someone who is just not polished enough to make a style statement.
“That’s right, I couldn’t have afforded to be a proper girl here”, she smiles, “She is just not polished enough and the way she speaks English is also not proper. She is so ‘alhad’ that she didn’t even hold back chewing or coughing while she was talking. This character is someone who didn’t care about the way she walked, looked or behaved.”
Due to the Delhi setting of the film, there is a certain dialogue delivery which one can see is pretty much standing out in this Yash Raj production. One can well believe that Anushka must have prepared for that considering the fact that contrary to popular perception, she is neither a Delhi girl nor a Punjabi in real life
“Thank you so much of pointing this out, otherwise I would have been forever tagged as a Punjabi”, laughs Anushka, “See, I was lucky that both the director as well as the writer are from Delhi. There is a lot of Delhi in the script and I had to learn the gestures and the dialogues. I had to learn to speak in a particular way. I had to cut out the pauses and go on and on. There is an altogether different manner in which people speak in Bangalore (from where she comes), Mumbai (where she works now) and Delhi (where the film is set). I had to study those nuances well and deliver.” Source

Anushka Sharma On Her Forthcoming Films

Even as Anushka Sharma is gearing up for her YRF production Band Baaja Baaraat, which releases this Friday, 10th December, rumours are being floated of her association with Eros entertainments Desi Boyz. Directed by David Dhawan’s elder son Rohit, Desi Boyz shooting had begun in Mumbai in early November. Starring Akshay Kumar, John Abraham, Deepika Padukone, Anupam Kher and Chitrangda Singh, Desi Boyz is a romantic comedy slated for a mid-2011 release.
During pre-production of the film earlier this year, Anushka’s name as one of the leading ladies was brought up on multiple occasions. When the Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi star was asked to confirm the project, she didn’t provide a clear clarification, saying that she didn’t speak about her films till officially signed. These rumours cleared away by the final announcement and subsequent shoot commencement in November.
However, recently the buzz started doing rounds once again. But this time when probed about it, the actress denied the rumors and confirmed that she is not a part of the film.
“No I am not starring in Desi Boyz and I don’t want to comment on anything further,” stated the actress. After Band Baaja Baarat, Anushka’s next release will be Patiala House in February 2011 co-starring Akshay Kumar. Source

Anushka Sharma’s Chemistry With The Chopras

All set for a hat trick of hits with her upcoming film BAND BAAJA BAARAAT (carrying a very positive response), Anushka Sharma is certainly overjoyed, elated and extremely confident. Her first two films, RAB NE BANA DI JODI and BADMAASH COMPANY, for Yash Raj Films have been successful (more so RAB NE.. which is a blockbuster and BADMAASH COMPANY a hit) and trade is pretty confident that Anushka will weave her magic with BAND BAAJA BAARAAT as well.
There was news that Anushka’s three film contract with Yash Raj Films which she had signed has now ended and so she is free to sign new films. Rubbishing the reports Anushka says that that there was no contract whatsoever and clarifies that she had signed Nikhil Advani’s PATIALA HOUSE even before BAND BAAJA BAARAAT.
She however accepted that it was a mutual agreement that she would do three film with Yash Raj but no one stopped her from signing films with any outside banner. She also added that if Yash Raj Films and Aditya feel that her presence is required in any movie she would be glad to be a part of even ten more films as she owes everything to them.
Certainly it’s heartening to see such attitude, especially from youngsters, which shows that loyalty and gratitude still exists in Bollwyood, after all we have seen so many examples when big stars deserted their mentors after success. Source
