They say two’s a company and three a crowd. And the age old saying seems to be haunting superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who is said to be having a rift of sorts with wife of two decades, Gauri Khan.
If the grapevine is to be believed, the reason for the unrest between the two is Shah Rukh’s co-star and ‘fan’, Priyanka Chopra.
Actress Priyanka Chopra is always spotted around the superstar be it on the film sets or at award functions, say industry insiders and the extent of growing ‘friendship’ between Don 2 co-stars is also the talk of the town.
Shah Rukh had recently tweeted his wishes for the actress on Twitter.
“Congratulations @priyankachopra for the music thingy u r doing. From being the little girl who became miss world & made us so proud, go & rule the music world.”
“Thank you @iamsrk … U have always believed in me and it means so much having your support. Love n respect always,” the actress had promptly replied on the same forum.
Most people expected Gauri Khan to be unfazed by this effect of SRK’s superstardom; the close bonding has apparently not down well with her and has had a direct effect on her relationship with her hubby Shah Rukh.
An upset Gauri is said to have reached her tipping point and is said to have been vocal to the actor about this matter.
What has also been emerging is that the usually romantic couple is constantly quarrelling because of Priyanka and now King Khan has decided to tackle this issue by engaging himself with film shoots and endorsements.
Rumours are rife that even industry insiders and superstar’s friends are upset with Priyanka being around SRK all the time.
The news had earlier created a web hysteria of sorts with over 15 lakh websites speculating about the rift between the Badshah and wife Gauri on the issue of Priyanka.
On the hit telly show Koffee With Karan, Priyanka was seen giggling and blushing at the mere mention of Shah Rukh by the host Karan Johar. Shahid Kapoor, who was also present at the show, stated that he was aware of the fact that Priyanka always giggles and blushes with the mention of Shah Rukh’s name.
Actress Priyanka Chopra, though no rookie herself in Bollywood, is being favoured by none other than SRK and it is bound to have its perks, especially when he is recommending the actress turned singer for shows and films.
Apparently the duo will soon be seen performing at a show in London end of the month. SRK had signed up for the show some time ago, and Priyanka too will join him there — apparently at SRK’s insistence.

Priyanka Chopra in a grunge look and Bipasha Basu in a gypsy zippered dress will feature in a hip-hop number in Ganesh Hegde’s latest album Lets Party.
The song, Mind Blowing, took four days to shoot at a studio in Mumbai. Audiences will see the two leading ladies dancing to the song, which is sung, styled and choreographed by Hegde himself.
“Both Bipasha and Priyanka epitomise all the qualities I’m raving about in the song. I was with each of them for a day and shooting was a breeze,” Hegde said in a statement.
Talking about the look and styling of the song, he said: “Bipasha sports a fringe, gypsy hoops and zippered dress. The fringe was Bipasha’s idea. She fell in love with the song instantly and wanted a look that was different from anything you’ve seen on screen before. She looks like a rockstar!

It has been already reported that Priyanka Chopra and Sanjay Dutt will be making a cameo in Shah Rukh’s upcoming film Ra.One. Well, Dutt who willingly did the cameo in the film for free was ‘repaid’ with a thoughtful gift by SRK.

Seductive actress Priyanka Chopra’s Don 2: The Chase Continues stunt double Bibi, a girl from Berlin, passed away on Monday due to unknown reasons. Priyanka, and her co-star, Shah Rukh Khan paid their condolences on Twitter.
“It’s shocking how unpredictable life can be. Bibi, my stunt double from Don 2 passed away. Taught me all I did in the film,” Priyanka posted on her Twitter page.
“RIP Bibi… here’s a prayer for her and courage her family…from all of us on Don 2,” added the 28-year-old, who is said to have some heavy duty action sequences in the movie.
Priyanka Chopra’s ‘Don 2' stunt double dies
Shah Rukh, who plays the main lead, wrote: “A prayer from all in Don 2 for our friend & stunt girl Bibi…who left us for a better place. Lov u (sic).”
However, both the actors did’t say what was the reason behind Bibi’s death.
Don 2: The Chase Continues, directed by Farhan Akhtar, is the sequel to the 2006 film, Don: The Chase Begins Again, which itself is a remake of the 1978 film Don.

Recently when Salman was questioned about his fave co-star, he spoke about actor Kareena Kapoor with whom he’s currently shooting for Bodyguard calling her the “original desi girl”. Referring to her as angel-faced, Salman said, “Bebo is the original desi girl.” A tag that’s so far been associated with Chopra after her hit hot number of the same name in Dostana. Says an insider, “Salman’s ruling the roost in Bollywood and he has clearly usurped Chopra by crowning Kareena with what was almost Chopra ’s hold so far.”
Many even feel that what instigated Salman this time around was Chopra’s increasing proximity to frenemy actor Shah Rukh Khan.
This fresh volley of words may just spark another round of a cold war between Bebo and Chopra too, who are known to not be in a cordial relationship themselves, despite maintaining an ‘all is well’ stance on the surface. IIFA Awards - Priyanka Chopra To Perform For Asha Bhosle

As most B-Towners have reached Toronto for International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards, 2011, Hit list discovers that the usually confident Priyanka Chopra is quite nervous about her stage performance at the ceremony.
The usually confident Priyanka, who has been chosen to pay a tribute to Asha Bhosle in a special performance at IIFA this year, feels this is too tall an order for her.
Says a source, “Priyanka is confident enough to pull off any stage performance. However, this time she is flummoxed. A dance tribute to the songs of Ashaji seemed like a formidable task to her. She wanted to beg off.”
The homage to the singing legend that Priyanka will perform is to be choreographed by Shiamak Davar. We have learnt that when Asha Bhosle heard of the tribute plan, she insisted that only Priyanka do it.
Says a source, “Other A-list actresses including Katrina Kaif, Kareena Kapoor and even Sonakshi Sinha were considered for the homage. But Ashaji felt only Priyanka had the namak on her face, the chulbula sexiness to convey the sensuousness of her throat. Moreover, Priyanka Chopra is a singer herself, so she understands the nuances in Ashaji’s voice.”
In the past few weeks, the actress has become an expert on Ashaji’s songs. Says the source, “Lately, the young actress has watched the legendary singer’s songs so many times that she knows them by heart now.”
While Priyanka maintains that the homage in Toronto is a ’secret’, Sabbas Joseph of Wizcraft, the official organisers of IIFA in Canada, confirms, “Yes, Priyanka is giving a tribute to Ashaji, who will receive an award for outstanding contribution to Indian cinema. Shiamak will choreograph the tribute.”
Davar, says, “When one does a tribute to a legend like Ashaji one has to be faithful to the originals. But I love interpreting songs in my own way as always. I love Ashaji’s songs. They’re timeless. Priyanka Chopra & Her Desire For 6 Marriages

Priyanka Chopra seems to have taken her role in ‘7 Khoon Maaf’ a little too seriously! The versatile actress, who gets married seven times in the thriller, says she would love to marry at least six times in real life - but to the same man.
“I have been planning my wedding since as far back as I can remember! My ideal scenario is getting married six times (to the same man of course),” Priyanka revealed in the upcoming, second anniversary issue of fashion magazine Harper`s Bazaar.
The 28-year-old, one of the most eligible singles in tinsel town, already has elaborate plans set in her mind about the six spots and types of ceremonies she would like to have.
“My dadaji`s (grandfather`s) house in Ambala - my ‘big, fat Indian wedding`; underwater at the Great Barrier Reef in Australia; a church in Las Vegas - wearing a short black dress and with the priest dressed as Elvis; the intimate ceremony - at a small, beautiful church in Locarno, Switzerland. It`s on top of a hill that overlooks parts of Germany, Italy, and Switzerland.
She also wants to go in for a nikah.
“Only very close family and friends will be present; a nikah - I think it`s a beautiful, romantic ceremony - the curtains, the stolen glances, the words, and finally the acceptance… ‘Kabool hai`; and lastly, the groom`s choice! If my future groom survives all that, then we`ll survive anything!” she added.
The plans are all quite set of course, but Priyanka says marriage does not figure on her priority list as of now.
“There is so much happening on the work front right now, which is my priority. I will get married, but I can`t say when. It`s not really in my control. I am a hopeless romantic, so I`m waiting for the man who is meant to be with me; he may arrive today, or five years later,” she said.
In the meantime, her hectic schedules and film promotions will keep her on her toes.
She has almost finished the shoot of “Don - The Chase Continues”. She will start work on Karan Johar`s remake of “Agneepath” and then she has Anurag Basu`s “Barfee”, Kunal Kohli`s next, as well as “Krrish 2?.

Priyanka Chopra’s 7 Khoon Maaf Earns Rs.28 Crores In Its First Opening Week

Vishal Bharadwaj and UTV production 7 KHOON MAAF might have got a mixed response from the critics and audience, but the film has managed to earn Rs.28 crore from its opening week box office collections and satellite and other rights.
According to official figures provided by YTV, the budget of the thriller starring Priyanka Chopra was Rs.22 crore, which included Rs.7 crore from publicity and advertising (P&A).
It managed to earn Rs.13 crore from India Box office sales, Rs. 11 crore from music and satellite rights, Rs.2 crore from overseas collections and Rs.2 crore from home video rights and other sources. Source

Vishal Bhardwaj’s film ‘Saat Khoon Maaf’, which has garnered rave reviews after its release this week has left the lead actress Priyanka Chopra high and dry. The actress, who is the face of the Ruskin Bond adaptation, was keen to join her mentor and ace filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj to Berlin for the film’s screening, but Bhardwaj wanted her to take care of the promotional events in Mumbai during the release of ‘Saat Khoon Maaf’.
Talking to a daily, a source close to the unit said, “Priyanka really wanted to be in Berlin. After all, ‘Saat Khoon Maaf is as much her film as Vishal`s. She`s the face of the film, which was being screened in the `panorama section` of the Festival. This was the film`s first screening at an international forum. Naturally, she wanted to be with Vishal at this momentous occasion.”
Bhardwaj attended the event along with his wife Rekha and actor Anu Kapoor, who sponsored his own trip. Piggy Chops tried all possible things to convince him to take her along with him to film fest but Bhardwaj was hell bent on his decision.
“Priyanka reasoned with Vishal. She offered to intensify the publicity and finish everything in two days prior to the release date, so she could be in Berlin for the festival,” the source said.
“Even Vishal`s wife Rekha Bhardwaj intervened on Priyanka`s behalf and tried coaxing him to let her come along. But Vishal was adamant. He felt Priyanka`s presence was needed more in Mumbai than in Berlin,” added the source. Source

‘Saat Khoon Maaf’ is a Vishal Bhardwaj film in which, Priyanka Chopra essays various characters, ranging from a young twenty something girl to a sixty-years old lady. Buzz has it that Hollywood make-up artists diligently worked on Priyanka’s character Suzanna (a sixty-five year old lady), which was modelled on her mother and grandmother’s pictures.
Apparently, Priyanka considers ‘Saat Khoon Maaf’ as her toughest film. Talking to a daily about the film, the actress quipped, “It has been the most challenging part any actor could play. Playing Suzanna was tough for someone like me, who is still in her 20s. During most bits of shooting, I relied completely on Vishal sir, because I had no clue how I was going to take my character forward.”
When enquired about her middle-aged character in the film, Priyanka said, “It was difficult to imagine myself as a 50 year-old woman. How does someone that old walk, talk? I decided to fashion my character on my mother. Not that she is a killer!”
Bhardwaj’s ‘Saat Khoon Maaf’ is based on Ruskin Bond’s ‘Susanna’s Seven’ story, where a femme fatale kills her seven husbands.
Elaborating about Suzanna’s portrayal, Priyanka said, “When we did our research, we learnt that Indian women don`t age that fast. The make-up artists arrived from Drag Studio, the firm that worked on ‘Benjamin Button’ and ‘Lord of the Rings’. The artists took snaps of my mom, bua, and my grandmom to see how women in my family have aged. And they designed my look accordingly.” Source

Last Friday, Kareena Kapoor drove down from Pune to Mumbai to shoot for her televised act for an award function. What should’ve ended in a matter of hours took forever thanks to Priyanka Chopra.
After finishing her make-up and hair, Bebo arrived on the stage to find it occupied by her arch rival PC. She had to wait for four hours before she could shoot her performance. She waited patiently for a few minutes. On spotting her, PC came down from the stage and told Bebo that she couldn’t give up the stage till 1 am (though the latter had been assigned the stage at 12 am).”

Priyanka Chopra Is Completely Trapped By The Income Tax Department

Under Income Tax scanner, Priyanka Chopra seems to have some answering to do. The actress, who was left stunned by the recent Income Tax raids carried out in her place, is now being questioned for several properties that she owns in the city. As per reports, Priyanka owns nine flats in Mumbai.
The IT officers, who raided Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif residence, sealed 12 lockers and documents relating to their various properties in the city.
As per reports, Priyanka has bought five flats on the sixth floor of Raj Classic building at Yari Road, where she lives. She has combined three flats into one large apartment, which has almost all the modern amenities.
Officials also stumbled upon another apartment owned by her, which was also made by combining two separate flats in the same building. Besides this the lass also has a penthouse and three flats which have been rented out by the actress in recent months.
According to a senior official, a team is also verifying whether Kaif remitted money to her parents living in London.
They are also checking records to find out how much money was earned through guest appearances in stage shows and whether she declared the income and paid taxes.

Kareena Kapoor Replaces Priyanka Chopra In Dostana 2

Kareena Kapoor has reportedly replaced Priyanka Chopra in the forth coming flick Dostana 2 where she is cast opposite Abhishek Bachchan. Priyanka who was earlier cast for the project has reportedly lost it out to Kareena Kapoor.
Kareena Kapoor had debuted with Bachchan junior in 2000 in JP Dutta’s ‘Refugee’, where she sashayed the role of a village belle.
After that she had developed inhibitions to work with Abhishek Bachchan due to her sister Karisma Kapoor’s broken relationship with him.
However now since things have cooled down considerably with Abhishek happily married and Karisma settled into her own world, Kareena and Abhishek have again decided to give their careers a different path and shed all inhibitions for professional reasons.

SRK, Shahid & Priyanka To Perform In Durban, South Africa

Durban is in for some real Bollywood flavour when stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra will groove to their hit numbers on Sunday at an event to celebrate 150 years of India-South Africa friendship.
The concert, which promises to bring together the world of cricket and entertainment on a common platform, will be hosted by actor Anil Kapoor.
This friendship concert is an initiative by AAMEDIA, a South African corporate, and Cricket South Africa. It is being directed and executed by Wizcraft International Entertainment and Cineyug Productions.
“Wizcraft has had a very warm and welcoming relationship with South Africa. The second IIFA Weekend and Awards were held in Sun City in 2001 and we returned for the fourth edition of the same in 2003 in Johannesburg forging a strong relationship between the two countries,” Wizcraft director Sabbas Joseph said in a statement.
“The hospitality extended to us was touching and overwhelming. South Africa holds a big place in our hearts,” he said.
The event will be held in commemoration of the arrival of the first Indian labourers in 1860 to work on the sugarcane plantations in South Africa.
The concert will also honour Sachin Tendulkar and Makhaya Ntini - two great stalwarts of cricket from India and South Africa respectively.
Several South African artistes are also scheduled to perform at the event, including Liquideep, Locnville, Drum Cafe, HHP, and 1st Project. Source

Bollywood’s celebrated on-again-off-again couple, Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra, is reportedly back together, and what’s more, they are set to ring in the New Year together at an undisclosed location in Chandigarh.
Shahid, who has been shooting for his father’s film Mausam near Chandigarh, will be taking the weekend off to spend time with Priyanka.
Although Priyanka’s spokesperson vehemently denied this, our source insists that the couple is back together. Says he, “Shahid and Priyanka are back together. The couple recently reunited when Karan Johar SMSed them to be a guest couple on his chat show Koffee With Karan.
That’s when they met and sorted out their misunderstandings and problems. After they went on the show as a couple, they realised that they were in fact victims of misunderstandings created by other people.
Now that they are back together, they have decided that they need to spend more time with each other. Subsequently, Priyanka, who declined all New Year eve live performances, decided that she would join Shahid in Chandigarh.”

Priyanka Chopra recently shared the couch with Shahid Kapoor on Koffee With Karan and displayed every sign of being in a relationship with the actor except for saying so.
