Since her pregnancy news has been out, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has become a hot, favourite topic of the grapevines. While everyone was jubilant over her real-life promotion, her career break had generated enough hype as well.
Although she is in her sixth month of pregnancy, the ravishing diva is however still keeping herself active in the field by completing her commitments. Aishwarya, who is ecstatic on becoming a mom, recently shot for a Lux ad and unit sources revealed that the actress had been as dedicated as before towards her work.
Looking elegant with her baby bump, Aishwarya was dressed in peach gown for the ad shoot. Her costume was done by Manish Malhotra while makeup was by Mickey Contractor. “Ash looked amazing as usual during the shoot in Bangkok. She was glowing and full of energy and excitement,” quoted Contractor to sources.

Aishwarya Rai Requests The French Honour To Be Postponed

Beautiful actress Aishwarya Rai, who was to receive an honour from the French government in New Delhi on Wednesday, requested officials to postpone the ceremony in the wake of the Mumbai blasts. The actress also maintained a minute’s silence to mourn the deaths.
“Thank you all for being here. The current situation has really disturbed and shocked all of us. I thank the French embassy for being supportive and considering the sensitivity of the situation. They have been kind to consider me and my family’s request to postpone the celebration till another time. We as Indians can’t go ahead and celebrate in such a situation,” Aishwarya told reporters at the event.
Mumbai was hit by three blasts that left at least 20 people dead and over 100 injured on Wednesday evening.
The event for honouring Aishwarya with “Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters” was being held in New Delhi, but her heart was with those affected by the tragedy.
“The terrible blasts have shook us, but we shall stand strong. They (terrorists) should get it straight that we won’t let them succeed. You cannot break us, we all believe in deep strong Indian spirit. You will not get the better of us. God bless us and Jai Hind,” added Aishwarya, who was accompanied by her actor-husband Abhishek Bachchan.
The 37-year-old’s appearance was highly anticipated as it was her second public outing ever since the announcement of her pregnancy. She did not disappoint by being away from shutterbugs, and looked extremely graceful in a yellow and parrot green sari, with the natural glow of an expectant mother.
French Ambassdor Jerome Bonnafont said: “The terrible series of blast has shocked all of us. It seems the time is not right. I pay my condolence and want the Indian people to know that the government of France is with them.” Source

Abhishek and Aishwarya got a chance invite to the prestigious event, where Hollywood’s Who’s Who gathers to celebrate international cinema. The duo was holidaying in Los Angeles and were not at all prepared to attend such a high-profile event at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood Sunday night.
However, last minute help from their designer friends helped them put their best foot forward at the red carpet.
Aishwarya sparkled in an off-shoulder Armani Prive bronze gown and kept her look minimalistic with just a pair of dangling earrings and hair on one side of the shoulder. Abhishek looked dapper in a traditional, formal black tuxedo.
Mallika, one of the most talked about Bollywood glamour girls, flaunted a sequinned white gown, with a daring front slit and a plunging neckline - just as she likes it always!
Among other Indians at the Oscars this year were composer A.R. Rahman, who was nominated in two categories - best original score and best original song - for his work in Danny Boyle’s “127 Hours”. However, he lost out on both the titles.

She carries of every look I create for her. She is daring, adaptable and confident of the way she looks. Over time, the only change in her face is that she is leaner and more mature now and she looks very international. She is a natural beauty. When God was distributing good looks, the rest of us must been in the loo, because she got it all.”
Ashutosh Gowariker on how Aishwarya became his JODHAA- “When I finished the draft of my epic romance, I sent Aishwarya a single line SMS politely asking, ‘Will you be my JODHAA?’ Promptly came the reply, ‘YES!’ and that is how our association began. Country’s leading entertainment magazine conferred up on Bollywood’s most rocking couple Abhishek and Aishwarya the honour of being India`s No 1 Power Couple on the launch occasion of their latest issue.

It seems that Salman has come over Aishwarya period but the Bachchan bahu yet feels awkward to face her ex-beau. Recently, during the 17th Annual Star Screen Awards event, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was supposed to perform on her popular hit numbers.

After Kareena replaced Aishwarya in Sanjay Leela Bhansali`s revived ambitious project ‘Bajirao Mastani’, it is reported that Ash bagged a role good enough to make Bebo go green with envy.
Buzz has it that, Ash has been offered a role opposite Kareena’s beau Saif in Vishal Bhardwaj’s next. Sources confirm that filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj approached the green-eyes beauty with an idea to cast her as the female lead for his upcoming film. It is also heard that Vishal has been chasing Ash for 14 years now, but the two never worked together owing to date constraints or because the project was not of Ash’s interest.
