Ranbir Kapoor, who was shooting for Anurag Basu’s ‘Barfee’ recently, met with a mishap which left him severely injured. The scene involved the actor shooting in a lake, which was in fact set up in Filmcity.
According to unit sources, Ranbir was so engrossed into the shoot that as he got out of the water he hit his head on a rod that was just above him.
The blow left a deep cut on his forehead from which blood gushed out. Ranbir was immediately rushed to a doctor and the wound was treated with four to five stitches!
The shoot naturally was called-off for the day. Since it was a serious head injury, Ranbir was asked to take rest for few days. But being a thorough professional, the actor insisted to continue working, only to be stopped by Anurag. Source

The success of Delhi Belly has made a hat-trick for Imran Khan after ‘I Hate Luv Storys’ (hit) and ‘Break Ke Baad’ (coverage). On the other hand his closest rival Ranbir has some catching up to do as he hasn’t had a release for almost a year now.
His ‘Rockstar’ is continuing to get pushed and while it is expected to be huge on entertainment, it is still a wait for the star. Meanwhile for Imran this is turning out to be a pretty sorted out phase as he has a definite success in hand with his next release - Yash Raj’s ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’.
“Imran is all set to make it four in a row,” says an industry expert, “The film has everything going for it, whether it’s his first time pairing with Katrina or the feel good ‘marriage’ subject, something that has seen a cent percent record in recent past. Ranbir Kapoor’s Rockstar Gets Further Delayed

It looks like the glam dream of seeing the three gen-X superstars Shahid Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor and Imran Khan locked in a battle to the finish would remain just a fantasy. The expected clash on September 9th this year between Shahid’s Mausam, Ranbir’s Rockstar and Imran’s Mere Brother Ki Dulhan is not happening!
Though official sources claim otherwise, director Imtiaz Ali’s Rockstar has been moved forward to November.
There seems to be no limit to the delays being caused in the release of Rockstar. Though officially the latest release date is September 9th, there is no doubt the film has been secretly shifted to November and it looks like there are chances of further delays.
In fact a source very close to the project confirms Rockstar has been shifted to November.
“For now we’ve shifted to November. But this again is not sure. We could move further ahead,” he says.
But producers Eros International maintain the status quo on the release.
Says Ram Mirchandani of Eros: “As of now we are not in a position to comment on whether the release date has been shifted from Sep 9. As soon as we get a clearer picture we will let you know.”
The latest buzz is that Rockstar may not be released this year at all. It could now be released at the beginning of 2012. The main reason for the delay is said to be the music of the film.
Says the source: “A.R. Rahman has still to do a couple of tunes and the full background music. However, Imtiaz is really happy with the music that Rahman has done so far. In fact, Imtiaz knows the musical film is being transported to another level, thanks to Rahman’s music.
The delay in the release is getting too expensive, he adds.
“The delay is proving expensive to the film’s producers Eros International and Shree Ashtavinayak. It’s also Nargis Fakhri’s debut film. And she’s getting anxious to sign other films. She’s flooded with offers. But as per her contract, she can’t sign any other film until ‘Rock Star’ releases,” he says.
The biggest sufferer is Anurag Basu and his producer UTV, whose dates for Ranbir Kapoor in Barfi keep getting allotted to Imtiaz Ali’s Rockstar.
With Rockstar songs yet to be delivered, it looks like Basu’s Barfi may yet have to suffer some more date-adjustment hassles. Source

Ranbir & Katrina’s Intimacy In Air

Like most loved up couples, Ranbir and Katrina are also floating on air, quite literally! The pair was recently sighted cosying up to each other on an international flight. While there has always been a big question mark on the relationship status of these two B’Townies, their recent PDA (public display of affection) is going to make it hard for Ranbir and Kat to deny their involvement!
A prominent RJ has reported on her site that a friend of hers spotted the lovebirds holding hands and exchanging kisses in the first class of a Mumbai bound flight from Frankfurt. The fact that the flight was full of European business men who failed to recognise the stars apparently put Katrina at ease.
According to the eye witness, “Initially she (Katrina) kept looking around to see if there would be any familiar faces, but when she saw that wasn’t the case, she got comfortable in her seat and started talking to Ranbir. After the flight took off, they cosied up and RK was seen planting kisses on her cheek and she didn’t seem to mind at all.”
The two were also seen reading their way through a pile of scripts, even reading their parts aloud. Apparently Kat had joined her beau in Amsterdam where he was shooting for an ad, so that they could have some privacy away from the prying eyes of the local media. Source

The chocolate actor Ranbir Kapoor recently took a break from a hectic work schedule and decided to give close friend and stylist Aalim a surprise at his Hair Academy in Versova! The actor surprised the entire team with an unexpected visit and we hear that the actor took on the reins and turned a hair stylist, trying his hands on straightening, ironing and blow drying on a student there!
Ranbir also sat with the students and gave them a long inspiring talk about hairstyling as a profession, also giving certain tips on styling to the students that he has learnt over the years.
When asked about his own hair styling, he quipped, “I’ve got stubborn wavy hair so I am perpetually at the mercy of my stylist and owe my looks completely to Aalim!”

In the rapid-fire section, Karan asked Ajay what he was most likely to find in Ranbir Kapoor`s bedroom. Ajay said with a straight face, ‘I don`t know what I will find, who I will find and how many I will find!’ referring to Ranbir`s so-called many girlfriends. Even Karan was stunned with Ajay`s frankness and for a second didn`t know where to look,” said the source.
Apparently, Ajay even joked about his old friend Salman Khan. Bollywood hearthrob Ranbir Kapoor says he’s quite open to the idea of former girlfriend Deepika Padukone gifting him a pack of condoms and wishes her all the best for her next film ‘Break Ke Baad’.
Deepika had wished to gift him a pack of condoms while talking to filmmaker Karan Johar on his chat show ‘Koffee with Karan’. And Ranbir isn’t flustered by Deepika’s remark and says condoms are one of the most useful gifts as people should be made aware of the importance of safe sex.
‘I think she said a good thing. Our country should be aware of safe sex and condom is a means to that. And thank you for that,’ Ranbir said when queried by reporters on the red carpet of the Teacher’s Achievement Awards held here late Saturday.
Ranbir, who got an award in the field of entertainment, said he wished the actress all the best for her film ‘Break Ke Baad’, which also stars Imran Khan.
‘Best of luck ‘Break-Ke Baad’. It seems really nice…you and Imran are a great couple. Looking forward to see the film,’ he said.
The actor maintains that they share a cordial relationship even after their break-up.
‘I have always maintained that. Whenever we meet each other, we are very cordial…I wish her and she wishes me,’ he said.

Bollywood heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor is not concerned about making money because his aim is to be known as a good actor.
‘Money has never been a driving factor for me. I want to be known as the biggest star for the work I have done,’ said Ranbir at the HT Leadership Summit.
‘I have to break the benchmarks. I don’t get affected by the perks that comes with an actor. It is all about how much you take and how you give. You need to be a good person and audiences should like you. Work is more important than fame,’ he added.
