Or so, discovered a lensman as Shah Rukh Khan managed to salvage his fall and prevented him from injury. On the personal front, SRK has managed to check himself from falling into the pit of controversy and has saved himself from a whole lot of heartache from the scribe tribe.
Word has it that the vulgar and giddy Rs.25 crore wedding, an alliance between two gutkha baron families, was minus star power! As per sources, the figures squealed were: Rs. one crore for Katrina Kaif, double the figure for Salman Khan’s star presence, while Shah Rukh Khan was to be lavished with double the figure doled out to Salman in order to perform at the wedding.
Ultimately it was a no show situation!
States a close source, “Perhaps, something transpired that led the families to tell these top actors not to perform at the wedding. Salman was en route to Mumbai airport when he did a U turn and Katrina who had reached Delhi booked a ticket back to Mumbai. SRK was also slated to perform for select guests, but he too did not show up. Perhaps, the gutkha barons ultimately did not want to shell out that kind of money? Or maybe, they felt that this vulgar display of wealth would attract the attention of the authorities.” Source
