Akshay Is Not A Superhero In ‘Joker’

Akshay Kumar’s superhero image in Joker was rumored to be an apt follow up to Shahrukh Khan’s superhero film RA.ONE. Since Salman Khan and Aamir Khan had not yet done a superhero film, Akshay was supposed to have taken a clear cut lead even though Hrithik Roshan holds the patent of being a superhero (courtesy KRRISH) while Abhishek Bachchan has tried and failed with DRONA.
However as things stand today, there is still some more time to go for Akshay before he dons the superhero costume. That’s because as learnt from reliable sources, JOKER is anything but a superhero film.
“Superhero film? No, not at all. On the contrary the film is an antithesis of a superhero film. People should have made out from the title itself that there is a JOKER involved, not a ’superhero’,” says a crew member on condition of anonymity. Source
