It seems that actor and TV host Rakhi Sawant and her publicity team had lied about the ratings of her earlier reality show and falsely claimed that she can trump actor Hrithik Roshan anyday. While industry insiders are shocked by Rakhi’s ‘cheap stunt’, apparently Team Hrithik is very upset too.
“Rakhi had mentioned in one of her interviews that she has got a better TRP than Hrithik which is absolutely false. The numbers speak for themselves. We guess this was a cheap stunt by her publicity team and this has upset the producers of Hrithik’s show,” says a unit member of Hrithik’s TV show. Apparently, Rakhi had earlier spoken about trumping actors Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar in her reality shows too.
According to the TRP ratings, Hrithik’s show has got the highest cumulative TRP rating (which is an average of daily viewership rating) of 4.7 which is the highest cumulative rating among any non-fiction show. Also, among the individual TRP rating (daily viewership), India’s Got Talent had got a TRP rating which is as high as 3.9.
“Rakhi never got the highest TRP among the reality shows. She has even mocked SRK in one of her earlier shows. Everybody knows what ratings Rakhi got for her earlier shows and the controversies she ran into for her acid tongue,” says a source close to the star. Hrithik, of course, has chosen not to react.
Hrithik got the highest television rating points (TRPs) for a non-fiction show in 2011. Hrithik is thrilled with the response he got from the viewers and he chooses not to refer to Rakhi’s comments. “The credit for the super opening must entirely go to the channel’s team. TV is about content and from all the feedback that I have received, it’s clear that they’ve built a good show. I am super-excited and am looking forward to the next vigorous round of competition between the best dancers from across the world!” he exclaimed. Source
