Uday Chopra’s Acting Career Comes To An End

This is disappointing for all you Uday Chopra fans. He has revealed that he is set to give up his acting career after “Dhoom 3?.
“Ok confession time…Dhoom 3 is my swan song…my last film…no I’m not giving up acting…quite the opposite, acting is giving up on me!” Uday wrote on microblogging site Twitter.
The 38-year-old son of filmmaker Yash Chopra forayed into acting with his home production “Mohabbatein” in 2000 along with Jimmy Shergill and Jugal Hansraj.
Uday was later seen in “Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai”, which also did well at the box office, and has also been a part of successful “Dhoom” franchise. However, his other films failed to set the cash registers ringing at the box-office. Source

Acting Comes Natural To Amitabh Bachchan; He Follows No Methods

You must be thinking that how can Big B manage to perform so well for the roles like he is playing in his upcoming flick.
He was answering a similar question for his film BBUDDAH-HOGA TERRA BAAP. This actor does not prepare. He just acts and has very little faith in the ‘method’ theory of acting first propounded by the Russian actor and theatre director Constantin Stanislavsky and later popularised by Stella Adler and Lee Strasberg who trained thespians like Brando, Niro and Pacino.
We also have our ‘method actors’ in Naseeruddin Shah and Om Puri, and a whole lot of new-gen practitioners of the craft who go through an intense process of preparation for their ’serious’ and ‘meaningful’ roles. Our cerebral Khan is also believed to be a kind of a follower of the ‘method school’ since he takes his own sweet time getting into his intense characters and then coming out of them. Source

Himesh Reshammiya On Balancing His Music & Acting Careers

He might have become the favourite punching bag for the critics but this has not dampened the acting spirit in Himesh Reshammiya. Not even a bit. Though his last film KAJRAARE was released in a hush hush manner and marked the third flop in a row in his acting career, Himesh believes that it is premature of his critics to write him off at this stage.
Talking about his acting career and the critics take on it, Himesh says, “It is not fair on the critics part to write me off. I have only had three flops whereas there are actors who have given more flops and have still kept on doing films. I should also be given a fair chance to prove myself.”
And how does he plan to balance his acting and music career? Pat comes the reply. Adds Himesh, “I am working on a strategy to establish myself as an actor now. I believe it is only a matter of few good scripts to silence my critics. I am working towards it. As far as my music is concerned, I have been making a new bank of over 200 songs which I will release under my own music label in the coming time. This way I can easily strike balance between acting and music.”
With Himesh not paying heed to critic’s advice, let’s hope he manages to silence them in the coming time. Source

Kajol Is Proud Of Ajay Devgn’s Acting Skills

Ajay Devgn is the most versatile actor, says his wife Kajol, who also believes that the man in the real is more impressive than all his reel characters.
“I personally think Ajay is the most versatile actor that we have today. He has been successful in all genres - whether comedy or drama,” Kajol told reporters Wednesday at the music launch of their upcoming action animation movie “Toonpur ka Superhero”.
She can’t be more right as the 41-year-old proved his verstality with five releases this year which were different from each other - he was seen in two comedies “Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge” and “Golmaal 3?, political thriller “Raajneeti”, crime saga “Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai” and a film on honour killing titled “Aakrosh”.
When asked which character of Ajay impressed her the most, Kajol said: “I’m very impressed with Ajay Devgn in real life (more) than any of his on screen characters.”
Both will be seen in “Toonpur Ka Superhero”, which is produced by Krishika Lulla and Kumar Mangat Pathak. Kireet Khurana has directed the movie, which will hit the screens Dec 24.
Talking about her experience of working again with Ajay after the 2008 release “U, Me Aur Hum”, Kajol said: “It’s great fun working with people you know. The best part is that you’re comfortable with each other.”
And why did she decide to be a part of an animation film?
“I liked the idea a lot. Most importantly, the script and the screenplay were very good. All the cartoons were very interesting characters. The whole script was very tight. So I decided to do it,” she said. Source
