Be Ready To Witness High Class Action In ‘Force’

Well-known action director Allan Amin was the one to introduce Bollywood with the concept of stylized action and special effects. He all started with MISSION KASHMIR followed with QAYAMAT: CITY UNDER THREAT, DHOOM series, DUS, CHOCOLATE: DEEP DARK SECRETS and many more. However his upcoming action film FORCE starring John Abraham doesn’t consist of the stylized action, which is in vogue.
Allan says FORCE is much different from his other films as the action here is much real, ‘The action in FORCE is all real. We haven’t made use of cables or any equipment or special effects for that matter. Moreover John has good caliber who did all the stunts by himself. What with lifting a bike or jumping off from a great height he did it all without the help of cables or airbags. And must say he performed it quite naturally.’
Certainly whatever Allan does he does it with much elan and elegance but what about the audiences who are used to watching stylized action these days and under such circumstances how FORCE action will appeal to the masses? To which he answers, “No it’s completely stylized in its own way but without losing its originality. When you’ll watch the film you’ll come to know.”
Ask him if it became a time consuming process to have real action and he says, “Though time consuming but it was fun shooting it naturally.”
He may have designed best of the action sequences for the various films he did in his career but finds FORCE as his most challenging action film till date. “Yes FORCE has been the most challenging film in my career as it was all done without using any cables or any other aid,” says Allan.
Allan further talks about the most difficult and the best action sequence in FORCE. “The most difficult was the one where John goes running behind several buses lined up and jumps from one bus to another as it was to be shot without the use of cables. While the best one was the bike sequence where John lifts the heavy bike and throws it. Actually I just asked John to lift it halfway but he decisively lifted the whole bike. Even the introduction scene of FORCE is one to watch out for.”
Allan and John’s bonding dates back to the time when John was about to make his mark in the industry. Says Allan, “I know John from long time. We have worked together for the films like KAAL, DHOOM, etc. We share a good rapport. There is a sort of good understanding and comfort level between us.”
Ask him about the return of action genre or the genre gaining its lost glory and the prudent action master says, “It’s just a phase of life where everything comes and goes back.”
Allan becomes diplomatic when it comes to selecting his favourite action hero in Bollywood. “Everybody is good. I enjoy working with all of them,” says Allan on a parting note. Source

Expect Superb Action In Salman Khan’s Bodyguard

“Post Wanted and Dabangg, Salman knows his bearings quite well. He has constantly reinvented himself and in the current phase of his career he understands that ‘masala’ is in. This is the reason why even in a family entertainer like Ready, there were a few action sequences included though they were more in a lighter vein.
However in Bodyguard, the core of which is an emotional romantic drama, there are quite a few hardcore action sequences included as well to make it a ‘masala’ affair”, says a source attached to the film’s writing team.
This made sense as well since the film’s title pretty much gives an impression of an action flick. Since Salman plays Kareena’s bodyguard in the film, audience are bound to expect a few stylised sequences that would involve their hero bashing up dozens of goons in one go. Source

Ajay Devgn’s Action Scenes In Singham Are Death Defying

After a long time Ajay Devgn is back in his action avatar with SINGHAM and judging from the promos looks like the action sequences are worth watching out for.
Director Rohit Shetty, himself designed the action for the movie. When Ajay Devgn learnt that there were a great number of stunts lined up for the same, he insisted that he performed all the stunts by himself!
The crew and Rohit even gave Ajay an option to get the stunt done by a professional but our action hero had no doubt in mind whatsoever and was hell-bent to perform for the dangerous action scenes.
There was one stunt in particular that made Ajay a little skeptical. More than a decade ago he had performed a very difficult stunt called a ‘Kechi (Scissor) stunt’ for which he had to hold the neck of a person with his legs, which take the shape of a scissor, and twist the neck with the crossed legs. Ajay was quite doubtful as he thought he was fitter back then. Nonetheless he went ahead with it and gave a brilliant shot without the help of a harness!
Well, it seems even now, Ajay is fit as ever. Source

Sameera Reddy Becomes An Action Star

As its title denotes, Priyadarshan’s forthcoming venture ‘Tezz’ is expected to be quite racy and filled with high-tempo actions.
Recently the leading lady Sameera Reddy had a taste of danger while shooting for the multi-starrer. The actress said to have shot some risky, action sequences - which included whitewater rafting and under water bike ride! Interestingly, in this process Sameera who has phobia for water, overcame the hydro fear.
Some sources revealed that in fact the director wanted to shoot such stunt scenes using a body double as they all were aware of Sameer’s fear. But surprisingly, the beauty turned out to be such an adventure junkie that she took it up as a challenge to shoot the scene herself!
Not only she did rafting, Sameera also shot for the underwater scene in the freezing temperature. Sources from the unit shared that the actress stayed in the freezing cold water for 15-odd minutes pulling off the sequence to perfection. But when she came out she couldn’t stand on her feet and her body had gone completely numb. Thankfully the unit brought back her to normalcy in an hour by keeping her warm and giving lots of hot drinks.
Besides these sequences, Sameera shot a chase scene on bike few days ago, that is said to include high defined stunts. The film’s team - with cast Ajay Devgn, Anil Kapoor, Zayed Khan and also Sameera - is currently shooting in London. Source

Salman Khan’s Action In An Autorickshaw

News is that for his next film, READY produced by T-Series and Rajat Rawail, Salman Khan recently shot some high-voltage action sequences driving a Tuk Tuk in the narrow streets of Pattaya, Thailand.
Salman, known for adding that extra ‘zing’ to his films, came up with the idea of shooting an action sequence in Thailand’s famous Tuk Tuks as this was never done before in a Hindi film. Subsequently, an action scene was written and shot, showing two Tuk Tuks blowing up and the actor jumping into another one and driving off.
Obviously, the producers had to buy off 3 Tuk Tuks especially for this scene since the vehicles would face considerable damage in the course of the shoot. But Bhushan Kumar & Rajat Rawail happily did so as they wish to leave no stone unturned in creating bigger and better action scenes for READY after the success of WANTED and DABANGG.
Bhushan Kumar confirms, ‘It was Bhai’s idea to shoot with Tuk-Tuks which are very fast and powerful. He wanted to shoot an action sequence nobody has done before. People have shot romantic songs or scenes perhaps but such a high-voltage action sequence will be seen for the first time in READY. People will enjoy this unique Thai action.’
An insider adds, ‘Salman drove the Tuk Tuk expertly, although it was his first time doing so!’
READY is slated for release on 3rd June. Source
