Kareena Kapoor and Asin are undoubtedly the two hot and happening heroines of the Hindi film industry who have the distinction of acting in two movies that have crossed the 100 crore mark. Kareena with 3 IDIOTS and GOLMAAL 3 was the first double centurion and Asin with GHAJINI and READY the second.
However, as things stand today, it appears that Kareena Kapoor is all set to score another double century and get way ahead of her competitors. Yes, it’s very obvious that we are talking about two of Kareena’s upcoming films that in all probability will definitely cross (at least) the 100 crore mark.

This co-incidentally is the second film that Kareena stars in and trade is certain that Shah Rukh Khan’s RA.ONE will set the box-office on fire and will definitely cross the 100 crore mark, what with RA.ONE being the most anticipated and eagerly awaited movie of the year.

Prakash Jha’s Home & Office Targeted By The Political Activists

Filmmaker Prakash Jha Saturday said his house and office in Mumbai were attacked by political activists who wished to obstruct the release of his film Aarakshan, based on caste-based reservations in the Indian education system.
“Just heard that my office and home have been attacked by political activists who are against the release of Aarakshan,” Jha posted on his Twitter page Saturday evening.
The National Commission of Scheduled Castes has termed the film ‘anti-Dalit’. Jha is currently in the capital, along with megastar Amitabh Bachchan and other cast members, to promote the movie.
Republican Party of India (RPI) chief Ramdas Athavale had earlier said that his party will not let theatres in Maharashtra screen the movie if it does not change its “anti-Dalit” stance. Prior to that, the National Commission of Scheduled Castes (NCSC) also termed the film “anti-Dalit”.
The NCSC had even asked Jha to screen the film for a panel before its release 12th Aug. But Jha is unfazed.
At a press conference here Friday, Jha said he is a “responsible” filmmaker, and would not sensationalise a sensitive subject for entertainment.
The filmmaker, known for his projects on socio-political issues and their effects on the society, was recently denied permission to stage a grand show in Lucknow to promote Aarakshan by the state administration on grounds of “apprehension of breach of peace”.
The film also features Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, Manoj Bajpayee and Prateik Babbar.  Source

Ajay Devgn Is Rated As The Best Box Office Actor Of 2010

Bollywood has seen many ups and downs throughout this year but managed to give some really big movies with huge earnings. Today, some of the actors, directors and producers will be awarded at the ‘ETC Bollywood Business Awards 2010’ for being most profitable this year.
Surprisingly, Ajay Devgan and Katrina Kaif has managed to get the top slot defeating other A-listers. Ajay had total six releases this year including recently released Toonpur Ka Superhero. Apart from Akrosh and the recent release, Ajay’s other four releases were big hit at the Box Office. His other four films include Rajneeti, Golmaal 3, Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge and Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai.
This is for the first time, the evaluation is being done on the basis of return on investment. Considering the economic quotient of the movies, the actors are chosen to be on the top spots. As per the ETC research, the Indian viewers paid a total of Rs.282 crore to watch the films of Ajay.
On the other hand, Katrina Kaif became the most profitable heroine as Indian viewers paid a total of Rs.142 crore to watch her movies Rajneeti and the recently released Tees Maar Khan.
Debutant Abhinav Kashyap became the most profitable director for his blockbuster Dabangg, which became the highest grosser of 2010. Audiences paid a total
