Salman Khan Has Charged A Whopping 28 Crores For ‘Ek Tha Tiger’

Salman’s gold rush at the box-office has resulted in a steep hike in his fee. Now, for his upcoming film with Yash Raj Films titled EK THA TIGER, which will be directed by Kabir Khan of NEWYORK fame, the superstar has been paid Rs 28 crore to be part of the film.
Our highly placed sources have confirmed this figure. According to our sources, “Salman Khan has been paid a whopping Rs. 28 crore to be part of the film. Though the production house has a strict policy of keeping such details under wraps but this figure is the actual fee Salman will command after the super success of his last few films.”
Salman’s gold rush at the box office that started with WANTED and continued through DABANGG and READY seems all set to make a repeat in his forthcoming film BODYGUARD which is already catching big time public attention. If so, it will be Salman’s fourth mega hit in a row. Source

Housefull 2 Will Earn 100 Crores In Its First Week Of Opening: Sajid Khan

Earlier Sajid Khan had famously declared that his ‘Housefull’ would be the biggest money spinner of each of his actors. Now for the second in the series of his hit franchise, he is not shying away from proclaiming that it would end up accumulating 100 crores inside one week itself.
“I am not saying this by being emotionally attached to the film since I am directing it. I am saying this after doing all the calculations,” says Sajid who has just returned from London after wrapping up a major part of his multi-starrer, “I know the kind of excitement amongst the audience as well as the buzz within the trade. When the film will release next year, there would also be an increase in the number of screens where the film would be shown. And then I have a rock solid script in hand. This is the reason why I am so confident.”
Slated for release next year on 1st June, the first Friday after the conclusion of IPL 2012, ‘Housefull 2' would have a milestone to cross if it has to indeed make 100 crores within one week. Source

Asin Equals Kareena’s Record Of 100 Crores

Till 20 days back Kareena Kapoor was the only actress in the history of Indian cinema to have two films to her name that collected over 100 crores - 3 Idiots and Golmaal 3. Now Asin too has made it to the elite list with first Ghajini and now Ready repeating this feat.
“Only six films so far have crossed the 100 crores mark - 3 Idiots (202 crores), Endhiran/Robot (estimated at over 150 crores), Dabangg (140 crores), Ghajini (115 crores), Golmaal 3 (108 crores) and now Ready (110 crores and still counting)”, informs a trade source, “This makes it two films for Kareena Kapoor, two for Asin and one each for Aishwarya Rai and Sonakshi Sinha that have crossed this major milestone.”
While Ready is all set to cross the collections of Golmaal 3, it is also obvious that Asin would now manage to topple her own Ghajini record and go further up in the list.
“What further makes this remarkable for Asin is the fact that she has managed this super feat of a 100 crores double bill in her first three films itself. Perhaps this also wipes away all the deficit that came from the debacle of her second film London Dreams”, quips an industry observer.
Incidentally, both Asin and Kareena started their career around the same time. While Kareena was first seen in Refugee (2000), Asin made her debut with a Malayalam flick in 2001. However, it was a late entry for her in Bollywood with Aamir Khan roping her in for Ghajini. Call it a coincidence but Aamir has been the driver of the success story of both Kareena and Asin with 3 Idiots and Ghajini respectively.
Currently shooting for Housefull 2 in London, Asin was ecstatic when informed about the feat of Ready in India. “I wanted to wait for the best films to come my way and thankfully Ready came calling. How do I feel about this being the second film of mine to cross the 100 crores mark? Well, of course I am ecstatic, who won’t be”, she says.
Well, seems like Kareena and Asin would have a lot of catching up to do over next few weeks. Reason being that Asin’s Tamil blockbuster Kaavalan (2001) is now being remade with Kareena Kapoor and Salman Khan as Bodyguard. With the couple arriving fresh out of the blockbuster success of Ready and Golmaal 3, one can well expect Kareena to be going one-up when it comes to 100 crores grossers. Priyanka Chopra’s 7 Khoon Maaf Earns Rs.28 Crores In Its First Opening Week

Vishal Bharadwaj and UTV production 7 KHOON MAAF might have got a mixed response from the critics and audience, but the film has managed to earn Rs.28 crore from its opening week box office collections and satellite and other rights.
According to official figures provided by YTV, the budget of the thriller starring Priyanka Chopra was Rs.22 crore, which included Rs.7 crore from publicity and advertising (P&A).
It managed to earn Rs.13 crore from India Box office sales, Rs. 11 crore from music and satellite rights, Rs.2 crore from overseas collections and Rs.2 crore from home video rights and other sources. Source

Shahrukh Khan Misses Lara Dutta’s Wedding For 1.5 Crores

Shah Rukh Khan chose to attend Vivek Biyani’s wedding reception on Saturday, giving his Don 2 co-star Lara Dutta’s Goa wedding a miss.
Vivek Biyani, for those who don’t know, is the nephew of entrepreneur Kishore Biyani, who introduced Big Bazaar, Pantaloons and Central chain of shops. Vivek wed Tanushree Dhoot (whose family owns the Videocon group).
The reception took place at Turf Club at Mahalaxmi, South Mumbai. Apparently, SRK danced at the couple’s sangeet party on Friday, for a whooping    1.5 crore.

Golmaal 3 Is On A Roll - Bags 70 Crores In Its First Weekend

Rohit Shetty-directed laugh riot ‘Golmaal 3' has hit the jackpot this Diwali by earning Rs.70 crore worldwide in its initial weekend. Produced by Shri Ashtavinayak Cine Vision Ltd and distributed by Eros International, the third instalment in the ‘Golmaal’ franchise triumphed at the box office with a gross collection of Rs.60 crore in India and Rs.10 crore overseas, in its first three days of screening. The movie opened across 2,000 plus screens worldwide.
”Golmaal 3' opened at 80-90 percent occupancy across the country. Moreover, the long Diwali weekend helped draw in large footfalls in theatres,’ Nandu Ahuja, senior vice president, distribution, Eros International, said in a statement.
