Shilpa Shetty Has Done Intimate Sexy Scenes In Her Upcoming Film

The last time we saw Shilpa Shetty on the big screen, she was prancing around on a beautiful beach in a two-piece with John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan for company.
And though her Dostana act attracted more eyeballs than she could have imagined, the Bollywood beauty is definitely in the mood to display more than just her much-envied figure.
Shilpa, who is playing an Oddisi dancer in her next film The Desire: A Journey of A Woman, has apparently indulged in some seriously bold sequences with co-star Xia Yu in the film.
“I had no qualms in doing these scenes as these sequences are an integral part of the film, and have been aesthetically shot,” says Shilpa.
It does looks like one of the most interesting characters Shilpa has essayed in her 17-year-long career.
Which is why it is not surprising that the actress would go to any lengths to make herself look convincing enough on screen.
Says a source, “In the film, a world famous Chinese painter is madly in love with Shilpa’s character Gautami, but she does not really respond to him.
These sequences are a part of the story building up to how far their friendship goes.”
The actress, who has been looking for a substantial script to come her way since her much-acclaimed performance in Anurag Basu’s Life In A Metro, seems more than happy with this project.
“The film traces Gautami’s journey through a number of years.
The love story is beautiful and the passion between the two characters is almost like a painting. I would say that it’s my character Gautami, who is bold, and not the scenes per say,” explains Shilpa. Source

Shahid, Imran & John Take On Salman Khan

Come September and it would be known to one and all that kisme kitna hai dum. Month of July has been extraordinary for Bollywood with four huge hits in a row. However September could well be the most defining month of 2011 when it comes to youngsters taking the forefront and rising up to the challenge. Shahid Kapoor, Imran Khan and John Abraham - three Gen X actors on whom Bollywood future is dependent would be vying for attention right through the month, hence claiming their spot under the sun.
Says a filmmaker who has a knack for launching newcomers, “This is the most crucial period for the industry since all three actors are at a very crucial juncture of their career. Shahid has to score a big hit with ‘Mausam’ so that after ‘Kaminey, ‘Jab We Met’ and ‘Vivah’, he can stake further claim in the bracket of top stars. Ditto for Imran Khan who has to now strike hard with ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’ now that his positioning is hot after ‘Delhi Belly’, ‘Break Ke Baad’ and ‘I Hate Luv Storys’.”
The man who can be expected to be the most anxious of all is John Abraham who has some catching up to do after ‘Jhoota Hi Sahi’. However with ‘Force’ looking good, he now needs to reclaim his ‘New York’ and ‘Dostana’ positioning.
“The biggest fun though lies in seeing how coming together of this young blood takes on the might of Salman Khan,” a trade pundit quips, “Don’t forget that his ‘Bodyguard’ would be a solid threat for everyone who dares to come in September. Though his film opens on Eid, it would see full fledged release only on 2nd September. Especially Imran can’t take him too lightly as he arrives only a week later.”
One wonders how the fun element would have only accentuated further had Ranbir stuck to his original plans for September arrival of ‘Rockstar’! Now that would have resulted in some battle of supremacy for sure. Source

Shammi Kapoor Passes Away

Legendary actor Shammi Kapoor, whose last rites were performed on Monday, loved to reminisce on his era, his times. A Q&A session with him was always fun. His answers were razor-sharp and witty. “I’ll tell you a story,” would be his opening line. And then the superstar would gift you with precious nuggets and anecdotes. “Tali ho” would be his parting shot.
For instance, Tumsa Nahin Dekha (1957), a Nasir Hussain flick, was not meant for Kapoor. “Devsaab was to do Tumsa…. However, he wriggled out of the project as he was paired opposite a lesserknown actress. So, producer S Mukherjee asked Hussain to audition me,” he once told this correspondent. And the rest is history. Tumsa… catapulted Kapoor to stardom. Professor and Ujala confirmed his credentials as a successful actor while Junglee turned him into a youth icon. ‘Yaahoo’ resonated the angst and abandon of the Ovaltine generation of the 1950s. No, I am not worried or depressed at all. On the contrary I am really excited about the film’s release now since it has shaped up so fantastic,” says Ameesha in a confident tone.
Also starring Anupam Kher, Gulshan Grover, Satish Kaushik and Suresh Menon in principal roles, ‘Chatur Singh Two Star’ is directed by Ajay Chandok and releases all over this Friday. Source
